Doug Mirabelli was aquired today and is said to be in the starting lineup tonite! the key difference of course, is that it will say RED SOX on his jersey. Damon is really REALLY gonna get it. SEMOSTLfan
I don't think he will get too cold of a reception, or at least he shouldn't. He was a key component of the first Boston World Series in 86 years. Rivalries are somewhat of a joke in this age of free agency and ever rising salaries. The hatred was legit back when players spent their whole career with one team but it loses something when you have played on both sides of a heated rivalry. I don't know how close Logan is to Fenway, but I'm thinking that he put on his uniform while on the plane I saw, I came, I left.
slapshot
Mirabelli arrived at Fenway Park in a State Police SUV. He stepped out of the SUV in uniform, and right into the clubhouse.EDIT: NESN just announced that Mirabelli's uniform was in the Police vehicle when it picked him up at the airport, and he dressed in the car on the way to Fenway. It is a straight shot on the Mass Pike and when your driving a State Police vehicle, so 12 minutes sounds about right.

slapshot
oh great, while Mirabelli was getting a police escort, someone just robbed a convenience store Mirabelli came from the airport in a State Police vehicle, not a Boston Police vehicle. I don't know about Canada, but here in Massachusetts, the State Police patrol the state highways. So a Boston Police officer would have apprehended the convenience store criminal. NJTank
I think the happiest person other than Wakefield in the Mirabelli trade was Josh Bard who was using the Uecker method to catch the knuckleball wait for it to roll to the backstop and pick it up. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
