Before even opening the topic and just reading the title, Kenny Lofton immediately popped in to mind. So far, he has played for:

Houston

Cleveland (twice)

Atlanta

San Francisco

Chicago (AL)

Pittsburgh

Chicago (NL)

New York (AL)

Philadelphia

Los Angeles

That's 10 teams. I think that it will be pretty tough to find any current major leaguer that has played for more than Lofton.

Reggie Sanders has his share.

He was with the Reds 1991-1998

But since

1999 Padres

2000 Braves

2001 D-Backs

2002 Giants

2003 Pirates

2004-2005 Cards

2006 Royals & ? You can bet for certain he will be traded in July.

Sanders I guess isn't quite the most traveled, but he does hold some records in terms of being the only guy to have X amount of production for Y amount of teams.

And a World Series ring too. He was important to the D'Backs in 2001.

Terry Mulholland's gotta be #1 or #2 at the very worst.

'86-'89: SF Giants

'89-'93: Philadelphia

1994: NY Yankees

1995: SF Giants (again)

1996: Seattle, Philadelphia (again)

1997: SF Giants (AGAIN!!)

'97-'99: Chicago Cubs

'99-'00: Atlanta

2001: Pittsburgh

'01,'02: LA Dodgers

'02-'03: Cleveland

'04-'05: Minnesota

2006: Arizona

That's 11 different teams, without counting multiple stops in Philadelphia or San Francisco. And lefthanded pitching is alwys in demand come the deadline, so he may be on the move again in a few weeks.

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

95-96 Yankees

1998 White Sox

00-01 Rangers again

2002 Mariners

2003 Yankees again

2003 Rangers again

04-05 Yankees again

Mullholland is STILL ACTIVE? no way. wow. how old IS he?

He was the guy compared to "a bag of soot" at one time by a reporter, I think.

Biologically, Mulholland is 39. Judging by his goatee, he's 58.

Ah, I can't speak badly of him - I watched his no-hitter for the Phillies live, which was pretty cool to see.

To switch sports, Mike Sillinger is the most-traveled current player in the NHL

1990-1995: Detroit

1995-1996: Anaheim

1999-2000: Tampa Bay

2000-2001: Florida

2001: Ottawa

2006: Nashville

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008
