This is one of the rear times when a players preference(Edgerin James wanting the black) ended up looking nice. It's on NFL Network right now for anyone who wants to check it out. Whatever hapened to pants stripes that made it all the way down the pants the same width, and didn't have to run up the side of the jersey, as well?NFL uniform design has gone to hell in a handcart ever since the Broncos changeover... TFoA Posted August 12, 2006 Share Posted August 12, 2006 This might sound dumb, but I think the Cardinals look better with black cleats, and their new modernized unis fit their new spaceship-lookin stadium.With that being said, the reason why they swtiched to black cleats is because Edgerin James was used to it in Indy, he requested the idea when he got here, and they accepted the change. They are wearing them tonight against the Panthers it is on NFL Network now as part of their no huddle live look in show. And one more thing much to my delight no monochrome and I like the look. The color change was made by last year's team captains and the team will wear black shoes all season in 2006. Last year they wore the black shoes with their throwback uniforms and helmets. The players liked them so much London Fletcher petitioned owner Ralph Wilson for a permanent changes and he agreed."It's something that not everybody is wearing," said Fletcher. "We thought about it last year and guys liked it.
