Patriots Helmet

Ah, the very first Patriots' helmet logo. This was used for the first half of their first season before they adopted "Pat Patriot".

As a side note, I know the numbers on the side of the helmet were the same as whatever number the player was wearing, but in this case "60" is also the year the Patriots were founded.

I do wonder what this logo might look like if it had been placed on the front on the helmet with the corners of the hat going off to the sides like the Philadelphia Eagles wings. I mean after all, it is a hat.

We all have our little faults. Mine's in California.

Somebody alert the Patriot's front office to schedule a throwback game featuring this helmet.

These were used in 1960 only. The preseason version featured no numbers, the first few games used a blue number, and the remainder of the season the Pats wore a version with the red numbers.
