This was used for the first half of their first season before they adopted "Pat Patriot".As a side note, I know the numbers on the side of the helmet were the same as whatever number the player was wearing, but in this case "60" is also the year the Patriots were founded.I do wonder what this logo might look like if it had been placed on the front on the helmet with the corners of the hat going off to the sides like the Philadelphia Eagles wings. The preseason version featured no numbers, the first few games used a blue number, and the remainder of the season the Pats wore a version with the red numbers.Shout-out to MisterHabs.com for the research on his site!
