It's all black. Pardon me while I hurl ... (I cringe at every monochromatic dark combo that gets used. It's very unattractive to my eyes.)

Say what you want...but under the lights of the superdome the all black looks sweet! I don't have a voice right now cause' I just got back from the game and who gives a damn what they would have worn we won the game and are on our way to a NFC Divison Championship! There are reports going on that numerous graves have been broken out of by the dead rising from their eternal sleep in disbelief! The south has risen and from those ashes....better yet...flood waters.....my Saints, are on the way pimpin!!

No, man, we just won the Divisional game, we're on our way to the CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! WOOOOO!!!

I think it's difficult for anyone unfamiliar with their history to really know the feeling when Bush fumbled that pitch away. The Saints have blown games in so many imaginative ways through the years that it was VERY tough not to get a "Here we go again..." lump in one's throat. Thank God it didn't bounce up to an Eagle for a runback and hats off to the D for making a stand when it counted. Thanks also to Coach Reid for his kindness in electing to punt it back to us. I disagree with that decision given how the Saints had run through the Eagles' D all night and the success Philly had scorching the Saints' secondary with big plays. Can't believe they didn't take a shot at making the first down.

There's still work to do, but it's often been said the Saints would make the Super Bowl when Hell freezes over. Well, just in case, Satan better be digging in his closet for his coat, hat, and mittens! :D

Not only did the Saints wear all black, but the officiating crew was wearing Saints garb all night too. It has been obvious all season that the NFL has tried to push the "feel good" story of the Saints with blatantly biased officiating. Phantom calls against the Eagles and overlooked calls against the Saints(watch Considine get lassoed on the Bush TD run).

I just hope the Bears win today so that the Seahawks fans aren't screwed again, after all they fell victim to last year's "feel good" story and had a Super Bowl taken away so that Bill Cowher could win a title.

I'm a big Saints fan but also able to watch the officiating objectively and I'm calling total bulls*** here, especially the "all season" bit. I've seen every game this season and you're just wrong. Last night was like any other game, there were bad or missed calls affecting both teams.

And the Saints aren't feel good...they're REAL good. (Wish I could take credit for that but I heard it on ESPN...).

Sounds like your grapes are sour. What part of Philly do you live in?

I was rooting for the Saints last night, but that is one ugly uniform combo. If they're going to wear black pants, those pants need SOME KIND of stripe, and they need a different sock set to go with them.

I tremble with fear at the thought of what NEXT YEARS Saints uniforms will look like...

For the record, I agree about the Saints' all-black set. Looks much better with the gold pants.

Don't worry about next year's set. I have a feeling they'll be very nice. No, I don't know anything you don't know, I just have a feeling.

Are the Saints good? Yes. Are they "real good"?? No. Let's start witht he second play of the game there Russell.........Reggie Bush CAUGHT that ball and then got hit. Fumble? No!! Are you kidding, that would put the Saints in a hole. Reggie Bush TD??? Blatant hold of the Eagles No. 37, not called. Eagles sack Brees to set up 2nd and 20-something.....wait!!! A phantom defensive holding on Dhani Jones to give a first down and continue drive.

Listen, the whole country feels sorry about what happened with Katrina. But face it, the Saints have gotten calls all year. Look at the first Monday night game against Atlanta.....national columnists the next day LAUGHING at how bad the refs were!!! Oh, and all the "rabid" saints fans??? Where were they before Katrina when the Saints couldn't sell out???? Puhlllease..............in this day of political correctness, the NFL is just doing it's part.

Are you kidding? The Bush play a fumble? You obviously don't know the rules on what constitutes a completed pass. See, that wasn't a catch because you have to have 2 feet down and then make a "football move," all with control of the ball. That clearly wasn't the case. But if you insist on it being a catch, then so was Colston's at the end of the first half, but you're not arguing THAT point, are you, because that's 7 for the Saints right there.

I'll look at Bush's TD again, didn't see the hold live but in fairness, I'll look.

The call on Dhani Jones wasn't holding, it was illegal contact and he did tag a receiver more than 5 yards off the line. If you're going to gripe, at least know what it is you claim the refs got wrong.

Your attention is apparently superficial because you're focused on this being the first time the Saints have sold out the entire dome WITH SEASON TICKETS. Saints games were regularly sold out before Katrina, but not by SEASON tickets. You know, it really annoys me when people claim the Saints haven't had enough support in New Orleans. I attended my first game in 1969 and that team has been beloved in that city, and supported through attendance since they started in 1967. Certainly far more than they deserved given their perfomance.

I read everything on that Falcons game (and attended it) and saw NOTHING about the officiating. Let's see you back up that claim with an article or some solid proof.

Now tell us all about the gunman on the grassy knoll, how the government really blew up the World Trade Center, and how that American 757 didn't really hit the Pentagon.

Check your facts. The Saints had 39 consectutive sellouts in the late 90's when they sucked under Ditka and during Hasletts first few years. I guess the league forced Charlie Casserly to draft Mario Williams instead of Reggie Bush. The league forced Bill Parcells to get his team destroyed on national TV. And I'm sure the league headquarters made Andy Reid punt last night with 1:16 to go. You're not a conspiracy theorist, just full of s**t.

Here, take a lesson from some Eagles fans with class:

QUOTE(BringBackTheVet @ Sunday, January 14th, 2007 - 11:30:55)

Eagle fans - please don't cry about the referees. Don't make us look like every other bitching whining fan that thinks their team is above reproach and the only way they can lose is if there is some conspiracy afoot.

The referees didn't cost the birds the game. Andy Reid did. From the outset, it was obvious that he regained control of the play calling from Marty, which pretty much negated all of the positive strides he has taken as a coach and leader in the past six weeks.

As a nation, I ask that you don't

1- criticize the referees for this one

2- take anything away from the Saints.

We all feel that Andy Reid cost us the game, but in reality he cost us a legit shot to win the game. It still could have gone either way (though I'm sure we all were leaning to one side.)

Amen. Couldn't have said it better myself. Toward the end of the game, the people I was watching with started talking about the overarching conspiracy to make the Saints a feel-good story and screw the Eagles. Absolute bull . The Saints won, and the Eagles didn't do enough to win.

1. The Bush TD was good, the pylon was moved, the plane was broken before he touched the ground out of bounds. Would've counted just the same if Westbrook did it.

2. 3rd and 1 from their 1, and you try a pass to Thomas Tapeh? Really, that's your best plan?

--> Incidentally, it wouldn't have mattered. Even if the Birds score, it's 28-27. The Saints would've gotten the ball back with plenty of time left to kick the GW FG. They did it before, they could've done it again.

3. WTF was Andy thinking? First off, as was mentioned astutely, the gameplan had his grubby fingerprints all over it. That was not a Marty Mornhinweg game, and it showed. Second, you're given a gift - a Sean Payton mistake against the Eagles, which NEVER happens - and you punt? This is the team that made "4th & 26" a rallying cry. You got the yards on 4th & 10, so what's 5 more yards? Are you really playing for field position?

4. Did they ever say what happened to Shawn Andrews? No one said anything that I caught, until the Eagles suddenly stopped running the ball for crucial short yardage situations, and Scott Young introduced himself with the costly false start on 4th & 10. No excuse for that.

At least Black Saturday's over. First the Flyers... then the Tar Heels... then the Eagles. I knew when I got out of bed it had that kind of feel to the day. Grrr.

Dude...all the "Saints are moving" talk pre-Katrina was based on the Superdome needing replacement and the fact that New Orleans was having trouble getting corporate ticket sales (mind you those two problems still exist). It was never a problem of the local fan support.

Possession of the ball and two steps taken constitutes a "football move". I never said Bush didn't get the end zone on his TD run, only that there was a blatant hold overlooked. As for the Dhani Jones phantom call, holding or illegal contact, whatever you call it, it was a joke.

As for the Falcons game earlier this season, Kornheiser and Wilbon talked about it the next day on "PTI".

He took 2 steps? WTF game were you watching? The defender was there a millisecond after the ball. Nobody on the broadcast suggested it was a fumble and I've been reading stories and posts on the game all day long...YOU are the ONLY person who has suggested it was a fumble. Does that tell you anything?

If you weren't so obviously a clueless jackass I'd be offended. As it is, I'm just laughing at you.

P.S. If New Orleans is a toilet, you should consider relocating. Sounds like you'd be right at home there.
