found the website, that's where I got the pics, just saying never heard of the UIF until now.

They are an indoor football league. One of the better ones in the business, truth be told. No NIFL-type shenanigans to be seen for miles. (Failure to edit the map aside).

You should check it out, they're pretty good.

Omaha, Sioux City, Sioux Falls, and Billings...from my recollection of the NIFL...were always the most financially stable of the league.

Which is why they eventually left.

Rumor has it that the AIFA will have a team in Northern Colorado as part of its new Western Division.

My money is that it will still be nothing more than an "All Star team" from those 4-5 NIFL Colorado entries last year.

It'll probably be as successful as they were collectively as well.

I don't care what certain members of the AIFA fanbase say...that division's going to be a disaster.

Is there any sponsor affiliation with the Omaha team name, or did they just want to be called the beef?

Always just been the beef dating back to the NIFL.

PIFL/IPFL (I get those mixed up) actually.

IIRC the name was a tribute to the large football players/linemen originally employed by the team.

The owners of the Utah Blaze had a Utah Warriors team in this league. I went to a couple games. I also seen the Beef play.

The Utah Warriors were never in the UIF. They were in the NIFL. The owners of the Warriors took time off from the sport to set up their new AFL team the Utah Blaze.

Witchita Wild's logo looks remarkably familiar...

The Wests Tigers Rugby League Football Pty Ltd, Wichita Wild Indoor Professional Football Team and United Indoor Football League have been alerted to this rather inexplicable "coincidence".

;)

I believe this same conversation was had last year when the Wild played an independent slate.

For what its worth....

How do semi pro leagues continue to think they will be able to get with logo "editing" with more people following overseas leagues and sports now.
