OMMF
So as I am surfing, looking for and listening to game show music, I come across this site that has MNF music on it. Now, track 3 is the one we all know. Has anyone ever heard track 4 or 5 used? I'm wondering if it was just a demo that never made it to air.http://tvpmm.com/documents/65.html
Coast2CoastAM2006
That synth one sounds awful. Can't say that i remember it being used though. kinda on a side track but listening to that brings back memories of the Giants around 1990 or so playing on monday night football. Spoilers! Joshawaggie
I do remember the clarinet version, not the whole thing though, just the beginning part, It was probably used to come back from or go to commercial right before the game started.I really wish that site had this for NBA on NBC as well. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats
infrared41
The alternate versions were probably used as underscores for promos and voice over stuff. All roads lead to Dollar General.
dfwabel
They are labeled incorrectly; track #3 is "Heavy Action".
OMMF
They are labeled incorrectly; track #3 is "Heavy Action".Yeah, the site isn't terribly accurate with labels and correct composers but there are still some good finds there. sacker12
I think that they used to use the sax version towards the end of the ABC run. If a game was a blowout, then I think that I remember them using it when they would go to commercial breaks during the 4th quarter.

MisterE
And all this time I thought the theme was from Band On The Run. Get Ron Santo in the Hall of Fame.
jr79
ESPN International uses that Sax version for some of its Football coverage that they show here in Australia. I'm sure I'd heard it before and that could be the only place.
