Gothamite
Ah, you're right. Sorry, the Tiffany's thing ran away with my imagination (took us about four months to pick out our wedding rings there).Still, the point remains - diamonds are the best way to represent it on a ring. Rubies would kill the illusion. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Harmening
Rubys would ruin it like it did the Raven's Super Bowl rings.
BigDemonNyc
A few members were wondering about the Giants' rings from SB 42 a few weeks ago. Well, there was an article in today's NY Daily News that displayed the winning design:They are by Tiffany & Co, maker of the 1987 Redskins and 2002 Bucs rings. At first I was a bit disappointed that there was no blue on it; I thought the NY could have been colored blue. The more I look at it though, the more I like it. It is big, no question, but it's very straightforward and symbolic. And it has a square/rectangular table on top, which is how I think rings should look. There is an article on giants.com that speaks about the design in depth. All in all very classy and well done.
Gothamite
Not bad.Still prefer this one, if only for the solid background. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

Mac the Knife
I like it. Wish it used an antique finish, but even without it, it's a solid look.
TheGodfather
I like the idea, although I would have liked to see blue like the others. But the eleven straight on the road thing on the side is cool.

Thad
Kinda looks like App's championship ring: Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% about how you react to it.App State Mountaineers / Alabama Crimson Tide / Atlanta Braves / New York Jets / Atlanta Hawks "If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. Arts11
I like the design, but I agree with everyone else saying they should've added at least some blue to it (but it still works w/o any color).
sacker12
That App State ring is sweet. I can't wait to see the actual ring. Also, I can't wait to see what the Red Sox WS rings will look like. I guess that we will find out next Tuesday when they have their home opener.
TFoA
Kinda looks like App's championship ring:I'm guessing that nobody's ever gonna get over Appalachian St. beating Michigan in Ann Arbor, not when you immortalize it on a ring. I liked the prototype better, but that's still a nice ring for the Giants. It's probably gonna be ginormous. Â Â

DG_ThenNowForever
That "eleven straight on the road" thing looks kind of out of place, doesn't it? It's an accomplishment, yeah, but so what? The big win was the Super Bowl, and it seems like that's what the Super Bowl ring should represent. And on the same token, Appalachain State didn't beat Michigan to win the Div. II national championship, so why is that score on the ring? I mean, yeah, I get it, but that doesn't mean it makes a whole lot of sense. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Why would you have the score from the first game of the season on a championship ring? Yes, they beat Michigan, but to add it to the NC ring? Strange.
