I'm not sure if that's just an illustration of Hammons Field or if it comes straight from the Hammons Field logo, but it's just too detailed in contrast to a logo like Busch Stadium's which uses a similar concept but simplifies the details.And then, I'd much prefer that the Birds on the Bat with the Springfield script be used as opposed to the (great but not necessarily appropriate) S-Card logo. The first time I got the EPS file, there was so much **** behind the logo that wasn't visible, but wasn't deleted, it was a mess. I designed all the Champion and playoff logos from last season, but the agency that usually does their graphics did this, and I'm telling you, I was about to call them and ask what the hell were they smoking when they created this. Since I'm the only everyday person at the ballpark that even knows how to reallly use Illustrator, I usually help out the Visual Marketing Specialist and do a cut-out for all logos (make sure all objects are side by side and nothing behind) so he can use them in the 3D program he has. I'd been working on this logo for months, then they did a slight revision of it, this time thankfully there wasn't a bunch of crap behind it, but there's sill a ton of details that aren't necessary to be in there. I had to alter/delete some things to simplify it a bit before it would work for him. For merchandise, I had to reduce it to an 8-color print so it could go on t-shirts. The company we order polos from said they'd have to add $7.00/pc to each shirt, so I took the Star/S-bird logo, the banner with "All-Star Game" and the "2008", and just moved them together to make a simpler version for the polos.But yes, believe me, many of us feel this is too detailed. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
