Your move, Courtney.
Should not be her move, the NCAA should step in to enforce.
Enforce her from any implications and/or failing to follow through on a promise?
Nope - for illegally wagering on collegiate sports.

She's a Senior, right? Last I checked, that means she's old enough to "gamble".....and we're ignoring the fact that she had absolutely ZERO incentive to shave points; which is what the NCAA intervenes over.

Unless she has a side deal with someone - Gambler bets HUGE against Oklahoma, she shaves points causing OK to lose, but uses this scholarship wager to counter any allegations of points shaving. She gets her cut from the Gambler (much more than the cost of the scholarship), pays up on her wager, and everyone goes home happy.

Her wager, as innocent as it seems, should be taken seriously by the NCAA. It is an athlete making a bet on a game (or games) that they are involved in.

Maybe she goes pro... makes money, and donates the price back to the school?

The World Basketball Championship, the Davis Cup, Ryder Cup, Iraq: Every day there's further proof that we, as a nation, are not very good at international competition.

Well...given the fact that this is Women's collegiate basketball, I think any significant bet would draw notice ahead of time, right?

Considering her dad is a former NFL player, she probably keeps her scholarship and her poppa cuts a check in that amount or more to the school.

How addicting to gambling could you be if you're wagering on women's basketball?

Thank you as I said the same thing in post #20 of this thread (still page 1). Plus it is not like she said she was going to pay the amount in full the next business day the team lost. If it taked 4, 8, or 20 years, if she does it to endow a scholarship, then good for her.
