chickenfish13
Hey guys. I've been working on this for awhile, as it's my first full football concept that I'm fairly happy with. I chose FAU not because they need knew uni's, but because I really like their identity, so I wanted to try my hand at some uni's. I used the owl head on the helmet, using a red outline instead of a grey. Not really much to say about the uni's, so I would definitely like your c and c. dribbble
officeglenn
Not bad, but the one thing that really jumps out at me is the outlines on the numbers. You have to treat each number as it's own separate entity; you can't have outlines from two numbers merging together like you do. Teams aren't going to order pieces of tackle twill that look like that; they're going to use separate digits and put them together.Narrow your outlines, and give a little more space in between the numbers so that they are seperate digits. chickenfish13
OK, here is an update. I get what you are saying officeglenn, but instead I just felt like changing it to 8.I'm working on action templates as well. dribbble
slapshot
The number and outlines are still way too big. Put #88 at the current size and it wraps around under the armpits. Also, I'm not sure what you're trying to do with the helmet stripes. As they are now, the outer red stripes would look like W's. The stripes shouldn't taper away at the top on both views. Back-to-BackΒ Fatal FortyΒ Champion 2015 & 2016
CDixonDesign
Great start, and as already mentioned, i'd make the numeral outlines around the numbers much much closer, and move the helmet stripes closer together as well...
bohob
I would also use white or silver numbers on the blue jersey. It's really hard to read red text on blue. Brave-Bird 08
that helmet has a lot of potential!!! just make sure, as someone said, the angles make sense with the back representation

Perfect Zero
Wow, the progress you have made from the beginning post is really good. The stripes to me on the pants are just a bit too wide, but otherwise I really like it. I'm a Sun Belt fan; I can't wait to see what else you come up with. Brave-Bird 08
Your stripe representation is off.Either that, or they are intended to wrap around the buttox?
chickenfish13
How should it look? I thought that maybe I may have got the stripes wrong, so any help is appreciated. dribbble
CAB
It should start to curve upward near his hip. You know, so it would be even if there were side panels.
chickenfish13
Oh, OK, I see what you're saying. I'll have in update soon. dribbble
chickenfish13
OK, here is a quick update. I want to say I got it right, but it looks a bit off to me, and hopefully someone can point out what may be wrong. dribbble
-(dp)-
Now you have tapered them. They should stay the same width at the top of the pants.
chickenfish13
OK, better worse? I understand what you mean by them being tapered, but I can't execute what I want it to look like. dribbble
bigmike
It looks the same, make them spread apart at the top like they are at the bottom, and it will look good. Also why are there no stripes on the jerseys on the action templates? Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Check out my new NFL 2016 Series! chickenfish13
I actually did spread them out a bit more, but I guess not enough. And thanks for pointing out there aren't stripes on the action templates, I don't know how I missed it. dribbble
CDixonDesign
Make them the same width, and curve them, up towards the hip, all the same width...Click here for a reference: Football PlayerOtherwise, looks good, it's not bad for a first attempt at the action template!
