1. I played in three Super Bowls.

2. I lost a record and a title in a 24 hour span.

3. My nickname might lead people to believe I was in politics.

4. One of my relatives also played in the NFL for five seasons.

Who am I?

Random, probably wrong guess:

Fran Tarkenton

Nope, he's never played in a Super Bowl. Plus, he's a modern player.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Nope, he started with the Packers in 2000. Also, I quote from the OP:

More likely than not, the player will be from a team from the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

Fair enough but "more likely than not" does not rule out the possibility of a modern player. The only reason I try to use players from the 60's thru 80's is to make it a little tougher. In any case, it's not KGB.

I've added another clue.

1. I played in three Super Bowls.

2. I lost a record and a title in a 24 hour span.

3. My nickname might lead people to believe I was in politics.

4. One of my relatives also played in the NFL for five seasons.

5. One of the teams my relative played for has the same record in Super Bowls that my team does.

I think I know the team it must be (thanks to your last clue)...Clue #3 mentions nickname, and I have last name...so I doubt this is correct, but, Grady Alderman?

Edit: A better guess is Chuck Foreman. (though the nickname thing is throwing me)

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Dammit... I just came here to guess Chuck Foreman. He was known as "The Spin Doctor."
