WSU151
I've got a few McFarlane Sports Picks (not a huge collector), but this is the first time I've seen a McFarlane figure with a huge uniform error:This figure is supposed to be released later this year, and hopefully they change it and give him the right helmet. It's just weird how they put the throwback helmet on top the current uniform.Anyone else seen uniforms errors like this one? I'm talking straight from McFarlane, non-custom... phutmasterflex
Don't know if this counts, but the NFL Equipment logo on Steve Young is placed REALLY LOWThey re-released this one with the white jersey and they got that one right Go A's!

phutmasterflex
After doing some google, you are right, it is the correct NFL shield. (I actually own this McFarlane). However, it is placed way too low under the collar Go A's!
sc49erfan15
I can't see for sure where it's placed, but sometimes the NFL shield was below the collar.
FiddySicks
OOH!!! This isn't a mistake, they do this on purpose to a handful of figures to make them more rare and unique. You can sometimes find ones that are really off, and they can as well be worth a ton of money. Sometimes it's the whole uniform, those are worth the most (I found a Roger Maris Cardinals one once and passed it up ), then there are ones where there are only slight variations to the equipment (I found an Emmit Smith Cowboys one once with red gloves, again, I passed it up ). Here's an article that shows a bit more of what I meanVariations On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) phutmasterflex
Well, looking at the one I have, the shield is below the collar. And when the 49ers wore white that year, the shield was on the collar, right at the meeting point of the V-Neckhttp://www.siliconvalleydebug.com/story/100108/images/interviewSteve-Young.jpg Go A's! Usually, the "chase" models have full alternate/throwback uniforms, or different home/road uniforms (for instance, regular figure is in road uniform, chase figure is in home uniform). I've never seen a mix/matched model with a throwback helmet on a current uniform. And spawn.com (McFarlane) doesn't put chase models up on its website. Smart is believing half of what you hear. TheOldRoman
If you reversed that (current helmet with the throwback unis) you would have the best possible look.
Discogod
Is that a production picture or a prototype? If it's the latter, then there's a good chance that it'll be noticed & fixed before release. This kind of thing happens all the time - toy prototypes are often shown with deco that gets revised before going to manufacture.

slapshot
McFarlane does make variant figures (different uniforms) but i think the Petersen one is unintentional. It was probably someone in assembly not paying attention. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016

Have any been produced? Not that I know about.I noticed that mistake right away as well. As far as I know, all images like that on the McFarlane website are prototypes. It's not the first time a mistake like that has been made either. Check out these images of LeSean McCoy from Series 25. The website photo has him in his old #29 jersey and for some reason a grey facemask. The actual figure was updated to #25 after he changed his number and the facemask was fixed. None of the figures produced were incorrect.
