Living in a ski resort town filled with many Olympic and X games athletes, this story has gotten pretty extensive coverage where I'm at. Very sad story and it just goes to show how dangerous snow sports can be, even with proper protection. I work at a ski resort and have witnessed the after effects of severe brain damage and even some deaths among the pro athletes and some friends due to ski/snowboard accidents. I really have to wonder if it's worth it.

As the accident occurred in Utah, there's been a decent amount of coverage regarding her condition on the news here this past week. Very sad to hear of her passing, she was an incredible athlete and a prominent face of her sport. My condolences to her family, friends, and to her fans in Canada and elsewhere.

29 is much, much too young to go. It's always tough to see a life cut that short.
