2012 NFL Season Thread

He's been better than Luck, because he's done a fantastic job at limiting turnovers. The Colts have been smoke and mirrors all season and will fall back to earth in a big way next year if they don't continue improving that roster. That is not a 9-5 team.

But, at the QB position alone, Griffin has been fantastic. 4 INT's all season, and the past QB Rating entering this week. He's a Pro Bowl QB, not just a ROY QB at this point. And Alfred Morris and Doug Martin have been two pretty excellent running backs. The Griffin/Morris duo is what has resurrected the Redskins season and, frankly, that entire franchise. They win their next two games, and there's playoff football in Washington for the first time since the '99 opening round.

So glad I didn't try harder to go to the game today. What a pathetic excuse for a game. 28 of the Cards' points came off 2 pick 6's and 2 turnovers inside the 5. Logan's botched punt return was hilarious, though. Dude needs to go.

RE: Schwartz. I want to like him as HC, and I have adamantly defended him over the years (he is such an upgrade from the recent lot of coaches we've had), but he has lost this team. That's all I saw today. I mean, look at the last two seasons. We started 5-0 last season, finished 5-6, and made the playoffs in time to blow up on national TV. 4-10 this year, with those four wins coming against (no offense to the fans of these teams): the Rams, Eagles, Seahawks, and Jags. Hawks win looks more impressive now, but still. Schwartz and his clan have led this team to a 9-16 record since a red hot start last year, and 22-41 in the four seasons in Detroit. I'd love to keep him as a DC, but I don't think that's realistic.

I'm hoping that this job is desirable enough to push Schwartz out and bring a fresh, well-known face in. Right now, talent and potential is being wasted through mismanagement. Sucks to watch.

I hope this is enough to sit Ridley and just give the reigns to Danny Woodhead. He was having a great game.

Called it. Woodhead owned that drive.
