Even more of Aaron Hernandez's past trouble is revealed.....

From CBSSports.com

ate Monday evening, the Wall Street Journal reported that Aaron Hernandez, currently held in prison on a murder charge, was part of a bar brawl as a 17-year-old in Gainesville, Fla., where he ruptured a man's ear drum. But the WSJ left out the juiciest part of the story: Tim Tebow was there, too.

Yes, according to police records, via the Orlando Sentinel, Tebow was present at the bar when Hernandez was involved in a bar fight.

β€œTebow stated that he witnessed the dispute,” the officer wrote. "Tebow stated that he went over to try to help resolve the conflict."

Tebow apparently "urged Hernandez to leave peacefully" and tried to figure out how to get the bar bill paid.

And the current Patriots tight end was also present when the former Patriots tight end was interviewed with police a few hours later, assuring them that Urban Meyer was informed of the incident (I wonder if he'll want to talk about that?)

For whatever it's worth, Tebow would've been between 19 and 20 at the time of the incident -- he was born in August 1987; the incident occurred 20 years later. It's probably not worth much, though, since many bars allow patrons to enter if they're over 18.

That doesn't really help Hernandez though, since he was 17 at the time. Although it's certainly possible that the "bar" in question is a restaurant and doesn't require customers to be a certain age.

The real point is that Tebow was in a bar! as this Hernandez legal process unfolds, we are going to find out about every single time that he even got within arm's length of John Law. It shouldn't reflect directly on him, nor should it give us the benefit of magical hindsight, nor should it affect the outcome of his trial.

It's just the grim reality of being famous, having a troubled past and facing murder charges in today's world.

Because he's wearing a Dolphins cap? Please. He can wear whatever he wants. This dumb picture created a pretty large amount of buzz on social networks, and Kaepernick responded to it pretty well IMO.

"Is this the hat y'all mad at? I'm gonna wear what I want regardless of what you think."

Pretty well put, IMO.

San Francisco should cut Kaepernick immediately as an example to others.

It's stuff like this which make me appreciate the clout of Alex Smith even more. Chalk up another reason for rooting Kaepernick to fail.

Hanging out on the beach is reason to hope someone fails? OK....

Just stop already. The clout of Alex Smith? Have you ever actually watched a 49ers game?

Fail on the football field. As in, hoping he has a sophomore slump in his 1st full year as the 49ers starter.

I knew that. Is he doing anything illegal in the picture?

Oh c'mon. I bet even you think that it's BS for Smith to lose his job as starter because of a concussion injury. He finally found respectability after years of boos from the home crowd the last couple of years (though I see more fault of Mike Singletary's ineffectiveness of utilizing the team before Harbaugh showed up). And then boom, a concussion in November, and all of a sudden, Kap takes over, which eventually evolves to Smith's stint in Kansas City.

Well, he's a 49ers quarterback with a Dolphins lid. It would be like a Giants player casually walking down the street with a Dodgers hat, or someone associated with the Lakers wearing Celtics gear.

You wouldn't take offense of one of your favorite players donning gear from another team in the same league? I'd be relatively OK had Kap picked gear from another sport, but from another NFL team? Doesn't that strike a nerve there?

Well he was given the chance, and he and the team shredded the vaunted Bears defense. He took advantage of the opportunity given to him. Let's not forget his great game in New England and his complete destruction of the Packer D. His running added another dimension to a pretty good offense.

No. I don't. Because, unlike you, I actually was stuck watching Alex Smith try to play quarterback for YEARS before Kap was even a thought. He was downright miserable to watch. Yeah sure he picked it up towards the end, but 90% of the time he was in San Francisco he was total dogs**t. They even tried to bail on him BEFORE last season by trying to lure in Peyton Manning. The reason they even drafted Kap in the second round in the first place is because they saw his potential and they saw how awful Smith really was.

"The clout of Alex Smith". Jesus. That's gold mine stuff right there.

He couldn't have just picked up a Marlins, Hornets, or any old teal hat to wear to the beach? Don't let this guy fool you. He caught flack last year for wearing a Milwaukee Brewers hat the same week they were to face the Packers in the playoffs. He knows this ticks off SF fans, but still he doesn't "get it".

And for those Frisco fans who see nothing wrong with him doing this, I HOPE Miami beats him in the Super Bowl this year.

PFFFFFFFT!!!!!

Yeah good one. Miami in the Super Bowl.

You know how much sports gear I have Curt, so I think you know how I feel about it. It's just a hat. He's just a dumb kid with a great arm. He doesn't wear caps just to piss off Niners fans. he does it for the same reason I do. Because he loves caps. (BTW, he's from Milwaukee, so wearing a Brew Crew cap is fine). But as long as he's earning the right to wear these kind of caps, I don't think anyone cares what he wears.

Yeah...the only problem with that is the Dolphins trying to hold up their end of the bargain.

And him mocking the situation in this fashion is flat-out wrong.

He's a San Francisco 49er, paid by them to represent the team. You simply don't do that :censored:. It's disrspectful as hell, to the team and their fans.
