  1. Pretty sure having an outdoor game in the Horseshoe with 100,000 people would be financially viable. If the Carolina Hurricanes can get an outdoor game, there's no reason the Blue Jackets can't get one.
  2. Brewers, Rays, Cubs, Reds, Nationals have worn alternate jerseys. All City Connect jerseys are full time alternates for the next couple of years.
  3. Really? The Yankees...Red Sox...Tigers...none of those look good with navy?
  4. I've long thought a sky blue/navy/lime green/yellow look could work. Just warm colors that tie-in to Florida with a bit of navy for balance; I guess that color palette would be close to the current gradient unis, but I'd prefer less navy. Will be interesting to see what they do for City Connect next year. ------ Watching highlights, did the Tigers switch back to plain gloss helmets? They wore helmets with metallic paint for a long time.
  5. Fanatics owns the old Majestic plant that’s still making baseball jerseys but now with the Nike logo on them.
  6. I think this might be a gray-scale photo. The Batterman on a Genuine Merchandise tag (usually the replica notation unless it changed under Nike) is usually the normal blue/white/red, whereas here's it's color-less. Could be wrong...a silver surfboard with a silver halo would still make sense. Gray-scale would also explain why the jersey looks so white while it's reportedly cream. I'm guessing car culture/nostalgia will be a big theme...the upside-down board as only it would appear on a vehicle, LA/OC's famous car culture, even Disney's Cars Land. With that said, if the wordmark is just "Angels", then it seems like their inspiration could be license plates...wherein I think they use the 80s plate font (Bellerose) if the jersey is cream...or, if the jersey is white, they use Rage Italic (though "Angels" in that font doesn't look great).
  7. That should have been their BP hat (at the very least) since the 2010s change. I like that look than the rather boring look they have now.
  8. That old flaired font looks to be the same font the Padres wore in the 2000s. Not sure why the Braves wore that.
  9. The Cubs have the 80s bear logo mowed into centerfield...just bring it back already. The charm of that nostalgia outweighs any benefit of the walking bear logo. Plus Nike could sell more home jerseys.
  10. The top part of the star wouldn't have a vertical stroke...right? it'd be more A shaped. (though the 90's star had that italicized look and thus had a vertical stroke...so who knows)
  11. A couple of reputable online shops that sell retail helmets have pre-orders for all of those teams except the Jets and Browns.
  12. It's pretty clear that it's this photoshop (the white/red/blue spots above his right arm next to his helmet are a dead giveaway). Ciara was wearing throwback gear when Russell and she visited a Denver hospital before the trade was official...I think they both like the Orange Crush look.
  13. Fun note - it looks like Mickey Moniak (of the Phillies, playing against the Yankees today) is wearing a faux-turtleneck tee (like Lenny Dykstra, et al, used to wear) and it looks like this one is straight from the 90s, too; Phillies wordmark at the center neck, blue batterman (without the rectangular logo outline) at left neck. Wish I had a picture. From a 1997 card:
  14. For Fresno State, the drop shadow on the letters is a different style than on the numbers. Fix that and it would look really good.
  15. Just for clarity, Patriots are wearing throwbacks in 2022, as they were already in the style guide. Eagles, Seahawks, Buccaneers are the only teams so far to say throwbacks in 2023
  16. It's for next year, but they probably unveiled it now to go with the Nats' unveiling, plus it's currently cherry blossom season in DC.
  17. Yeah my only gripe is the WSH. Nobody really refers to that...it's just something you see on scorebugs. DC would have been better. The pink, gray and the blossoms are fantastic
  18. Draft hats dropped today…can’t say I like ‘em: Draft hats at Dick’s
  19. I think there will be more than six new CC unis this year. There were 7 last year, and all 30 are expected to be released by end of 2023…7/6/17 seems like a weird distribution schedule.
  20. Is it really stolen if the Packers gave permission to Georgia and Grambling to use the logo?
  21. The operations cost for one game at an arena/stadium is far greater than operation costs for one night at the museum. On a regular day, MoMa has corporate partners and still charges for tickets. Having corporate partners and then charging tickets for people to have the privilege of being entertained is no different than a theme park.
  22. I like that one a bit more than their traditional ST logo that they used forever.
  23. You rub the sunscreen (lotion or spray) into the skin and it's far less goopy.
  24. Seems like an easy fix for people with shaved heads is to wear sunscreen. I remember seeing Taijuan Walker on Twitter say he wanted mesh caps because they were so much cooler than nearly anything else on hot days.
  25. I wish TCU would bring back a silver helmet (as an alt if not the primary). I always thought these were a nice look (albeit simple) but if they added the frog skin helmet stripe to this, it could look pretty cool.
