  1. This shot from afar makes it even worse. When you can't pore over every detail, there's literally nothing about these uniforms that say "Cardinals." They look like a generic Madden create-a-team.
  2. This might actually be worse than the previous uniforms. Wow. There was no effort put into this at all.
  3. One underrated part of this is how the A's spent decades cheaping out on the roster because Oakland was such a small market... only to move to an objectively smaller market. They're downgrading from 10th to 40th in the Nielsen rankings. If the league seriously thinks this team is going to start spending money once the new ballpark is built, they're delusional.
  4. The Expos were even worse, since the league itself stepped in to sabotage the franchise after dangling the threat of contraction over its head. The A's relocation is more of a typical "Major League" kind of screwjob.
  5. This feels like the Chargers' relocation all over again, with horrible cheapskate owners deliberately running off fans and blaming everyone but themselves. I don't suppose the A's will start actually paying to keep talent on their roster once they get their precious Vegas ballpark. Sad day for baseball.
  6. I'd like that TX monogram in a vacuum, but not so much when the Tigers, A's, and White Sox already exist. The number font is ugly.
  7. I wouldn't call this non-committal at all. It committed even harder to the tree-trim pattern. It was the change to Rev30 that made them start looking boring.
  8. If team success was a consideration, the Cardinals would still be wearing leather helmets.
  9. Mizzou's uniforms get tackier and cheaper with each new change. As for FSU, I'm not sure I like those changes very much either. The pattern will now be barely visible on TV outside of close-ups.
  10. Clemson was apparently considering a full Bengals-inspired look in 1997: https://www.ebay.com/itm/285200373866 They ended up toning it down to just having the tiger stripes on the collar for a couple years.
  11. Ouch, this is a OITGDNHL moment if I've ever seen one. Kind of funny to look back on all the fear and paranoia of Nike "ruining the NHL" when Adidas dropped out. Nike would be a godsend compared to this. What's next when Fanatics doesn't work out? Is Bettman going to stitch the jerseys himself in his garage?
  12. The wordmark is the only decent part - that and the captain/alternate patches.
  13. If I didn't know better, I'd wonder why BYU was wearing the letter K on their helmets. I know the checkerboard era has been divisive for Kentucky fans, but it's been a net positive for their football program, which finally has a look to call their own.
  14. I also liked those SMU uniforms.
  15. I liked the shoulder stripes. NC State's uniform history has been boring as hell, but with those, they finally had a design element to call their own and that could have been a modern classic had they just stuck with it. Besides, the weird sublimated side panels are a lot more gimmicky in a bad way. They're already dated before they've even seen the field. The shoulder stripes were just a modern take on old-school Northwestern stripes.
  16. This one was probably the best-looking overall, though I still have some quibbles with that Titans look, and the Rams of course had the mismatching helmet issue.
  17. The Washington jersey is the only good one there. ASU and NC State are both huge downgrades, and Mississippi State must have asked Adidas to make them look like a high school team from 1983.
  18. I guess I'm the only one who thinks that Caps sweater is really nice? The Canes', on the other hand, is boring.
  19. Well, Brady's narcissistic Farewell Tour: Part 2 has officially backfired. It's so obvious that Gisele was right and he should have stayed retired after last year.
  20. Staley's probably not even getting fired, and if he is, all Dean wants for a coach is a cheap sycophant who's just happy to have a job. The next guy won't be any better.
  21. More proof that San Diego was never the problem with the Chargers. The real problem was, is, and always will be the family of cheap inept weasels in the owner's box.
