  1. I'm guessing they couldn't get Harbaugh to answer the phone and no one else was going to improve the team more than Pierce has.
  2. The new FUSE that Mississippi and LSU use can work.
  3. Since Day won't be calling the offense it's an improvement.
  4. They couldn't clear customs. Copa Del Rey changed up the champions badge. Now it's all gold, and the champions patch on the front of the jersey is removed. The number of wins remains above the sleeve patch. Sao Paulo have moved from adidas to New Balance Mainz Fastnacht kit. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2024/01/mainz-23-24-fastnacht-kit.html
  5. Uruguay going with in house designed uniforms, as their deal with Puma is over. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2024/01/new-no-more-puma-in-house-uruguay-2024-anniversary-home-anniversary-away-kits.html
  6. I think front numbers are only used for Asian Champions League games now. 2019 looks to to be the first year without front numbers though for J League teams. \ 2018 season Losing all that space to sponsors didn't help.
  7. It will be under the numbers on the back, similar to when the league started.
  8. Exactly. When he mentions those numbers I got a good chuckle out of that. Because the only people that should be willing to lose that much money should be billionaires. And those guys will just buy an NFL team instead.
  9. How does he expect people to put up $25-$50 million? If I had that I'd be talking to the UFL, or CFL, to see when it's possible to buy in.
  10. https://theathletic.com/5208543/2024/01/18/club-world-cup-2025-us-gold-cup-location/ Reportedly, the 2025 Gold Cup will be played on the West Coast, and the Club World Cup will be almost entirely on the East Coast in 2025. The aim for the latter is to be easier to accommodate the European markets due to start times.
  11. He'll flame out even worse than the original UFL did. They did try keeping the NFL off of their players by requiring what amounted to a transfer fee of around $100,000 after the first season.
  12. So other than shoes and possibly gloves, I'd expect them to wear the adidas logo over this, except for possible alternate uniforms.
  13. Telling teams they can't leave? That won't last long if they can't make money where they are. Granted, I don't expect this league to play a game either. I love that he has to clarify that they aren't attached to the other MLF(B). Originally I thought he was trying to take a shot at the UFL.
  14. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/39335573/sheikh-jassims-man-united-bid-provided-no-proof-funds According to the article, Sheik Jassim repeatedly failed to provide proof that he had the money he needed to purchase Manchester United. I guess that helps explain why the Glazers kept dragging this out then. Still doesn't mean I like them, but at least they didn't split and leave United in a situation where they could be in a pinch like Everton. "It was announced on Christmas Eve that British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reached an agreement to buy a 25% stake for £1.3 billion ($1.65bn), more than a year after the team's owners, the Glazer family, revealed their intention to undertake a "strategic review" in November 2022. Ratcliffe's deal is set to be ratified next month. A filing on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission detailing United's search for either a new owner or new investment has showed that Raine, the merchant bank handling the process, initially entered into 26 nondisclosure agreements with interested parties. Following months of talks, Sheikh Jassim officially informed United of his intention to withdraw on Oct. 15, 2023, with sources close to the bid citing "frustration" that the Glazers' valuation of the club was "unrealistic." Sheikh Jassim's bid was for 100% ownership while the SEC documents show that Ratcliffe began to pivot towards an offer to buy a minority shareholding, rather than majority ownership, in the summer of 2023. The deal will see Ratcliffe and his INEOS team, headed by Sir Dave Brailsford and Jean-Claude Blanc, assume control of football operations once the agreement officially gets the green light".
  15. Aston Villa has announced an 150 year logo, to go along with the updated crest and move from Castore to adidas.
  16. I figured they are due. Just don't go with anything based off of this, PLEASE!!!!
  17. If this is the actual Galaxy third I'm a little disappointed. I'd prefer they add the jagged line pattern from the originals. This was also a good chance to go with the trefoil adidas logo, like will be used with their top tier European teams next season.
  18. And Congress won't call them a monopoly because they will rename the service to something else with a shell providing cover.
  19. I think this is the case. I would also expect him to not be first or second choice with San Antonio, even if he shows up to camp. He's started a YouTube channel of himself playing in Madden 24.
  20. Divisional round: Houston vs. Baltimore Green Bay vs. San Francisco Tampa Bay vs. Detroit Kansas City vs. Buffalo
  21. I think MLB will want that to happen, but they don't get enough into the weeds in this article though.
  22. https://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/39327963/amazon-invest-diamond-sports-part-bankruptcy-deal Amazon taking control of some former RSN channels as part of a bankruptcy deal.
  23. It's also funny to me how many people in San Antonio are happy that the Cowboys lost. Granted there are a lot of people that moved from other areas of the country, but except for the sports anchors and a few people here and there the majority love picking that the Cowboys playoff corpse every year.
  24. Taylor Swift. I know it sounds crazy, but that's a fact.
