  1. Mark Kelso would appreciate this. I have to say it's been weird to see UFL players practice with them, but not having them in the same colors as the team, but I'd expect that won't be an issue for NFL players that want to wear them in games.
  2. I don't think the injury bug is worse this year than normal, but you also have idiots that are trying to say that if they kept the old XFL kickoff players wouldn't be on the injured list. Those injuries would have occurred regardless of the style of kickoff, because those players weren't tackling properly.
  3. And say that whomever has the first pick can't draft him because Dion doesn't like their third string LT.
  4. I think you have a point, other than Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers, who's going to be available that moves the needle? Cam Ward and Dillon Gabriel might be able to move up in the draft with their stats, but Gabriel will have to deal with some tougher defenses in the Big Ten this year and Ward is at Miami which brings its own challenges. Cade Klubnick could come out, but I don't think that he's any better than what quarterbacks are still available in this year's draft. Will Howard has the chance to do something at Ohio State, but he might not even be the starter in August unless Chip Kelly decides to go with age before talent. DJ might help Florida State win a lague title and a playoff game, but he's more likely yo be playing in the UFL or CFL than he is in the NFL.
  5. Ohio State had something like that in the 1950's. Eventually it became the sleeve stripes under Woody Hayes.
  6. These were pretty good too.
  7. Info on some of the stadiums being used this year, as well as some of the fan gear. It's pretty echoey though. Stadion Kleinfeld - Helvetic Mercenaries (5,360) Estadio Vallehermoso - Madrid Bravos (9,000 seats) Also, former Cleveland Browns great Joe Thomas is coaching the offensive line at Stuttgart this year.
  8. It would have been the only good part of this look, but it would look good.
  9. I'm surprised we haven't seen the velcro cap yet.
  10. They do look like morale caps that some units wear, so at least there's that.
  11. Columbus just signed him to a big extension, so we know he's not long for this club. If we get to keep him for one more season after this I think we'll be lucky. I just hope he doesn't go to the EPL, because unless he's dropped into a club that looks like the Crew I don't think he'll have the immediate level of success he needs to stay long term. I do think Ligue A or a mid-table La Liga squad would be a great spot for him.
  12. Columbus Crew win 2-1 in the first leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup semi-finals, over Monterrey. The next leg is Wednesday at Monterrey. Club America and Pachuca tied 1-1 on Tuesday. A lot of people were ganging up on Jacen Russell-Rowe just before he headed in the winner, so that was great on his part.
  13. It's a better version of those uniforms. I'm happy they didn't try to have that stripe go all the way across the back of the jerseys either. I'd say it's a tie. The Color Rash for the Browns is so plain and generic that if you count it in the overall rating it drops the Browns to a C instead of a B+.

  15. And probably on any other third helmet too
  16. That brown facemask was horrible and I'm happy we have the white facemasks back. Especially since the team looks closer to the days we had Brian Sipe and Bernie Kosar.
  17. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/40014492/reggie-bush-heisman-trophy-returned Reggie Bush getting his Heisman Trophy back. Reggie Bush has his 2005 Heisman Trophy back, as the Heisman Trust announced Wednesday the formal "reinstatement" of the trophy to Bush amid what it calls "enormous changes in the college football landscape." The Heisman Trust's decision comes after Bush forfeited his Heisman Trophy in 2010 in the wake of significant NCAA sanctions for USC, which included Bush receiving improper benefits during a Trojans career that spanned from 2003 to 2005. As part of the decision Wednesday, the Heisman Trust is returning the Heisman Trophy to Bush and a replica to USC. Bush will again be invited to all future Heisman Trophy ceremonies, beginning in the 2024 season.
  18. This is the best option for the turquoise jerseys if they actually hit the field during the season.
  19. I'm thinking they expected more teams to jump from the NAL and IFL, and that when the NEL or AIFA slop they can move teams to those spots and bring the names into the league.
  20. Because they can use the red pants with all of the other combinations.
  21. The two worst teams playing on FS1, that number makes sense. If it were on Fox I'd be more worried. This week will have two games on at 7 PM again, and I'd expect similar numbers with the Stallions at Roughnecks and Brahmas at Renegades. At least there shouldn't be a repeat of the weather delay this weekend. There's a 14% chance of rain but thunderstorms aren't expected until Sunday. It's also a new league and a new schedule. As for Houston, locals know that last year's Roughnecks are in San Antonio now. That is throwing some XFL and USFL people off as well, because they figured the league season is either over, or not started yet. Granted the people that are thinking like that are probably the guy who showed up for one game and didn't pay much attention to it, or they are Lions fans and only want to watch those games in person. However, if this is their max level after next season, then you have to move them somewhere else. But I think you avoid Canton unless they prove that they want a team there. How to do that is the question. Do you take deposits and see how many people actually make that choice, knowing that if they don't meet the number you're looking for that you'll have to refund them? I don't like the idea unless you know that you absolutely want to put a team there and you want the local community to confirm that they are all in with the idea before you go with that decision. I know Greg Williams talked about jumping up to 12 teams next year, but unless the coaching staffs and players are pressing for it, I don't think it occurs next year. And if it does happen, I think you'll see a few Thursday or Friday night games during the year to help make up for lack of TV slots on the weekends, no matter what time of year the season starts.
  22. I believe Arlington and Birmingham have more fields available for training, as well as hotel space near those areas. What I believe needss to happen next season, is that the teams need to have a home practice facility during the season. Just being there full time where they can do events during the week instead of the day before or the day of will be a tremendous boost for the league and the players. But I will say one thing that just hit me based on a Battlehawks fan's Reddit post: Pretty much every UFL team has at least a minor league baseball or hockey team around them, if not a major league team that they could have been planning a UFL night once they set the league schedule. I think if the Brahmas showed up at the San Antonio Missions game the night prior to Week 8 with a ticket booth inside the gate, and players throwing out pitches, they could get a few more fans showing up for the Sunday afternoon game. For next season or really even this season, possibly plan to have a gameday suite giveaway at the game, which is something they do outside the game on gameday. Arlington has the Rangers right there as do the Roughnecks with the Astros and the Panthers with the Tigers and Redwings, so no reason not to use them for attention as well. Birmingham has already done this with the Barons who play nearby in Hoover.
  23. It happens much more than you would think.
  24. One thing that I noticed is that the Texans are using the alternate FUSE template cut. I think if Denver had chosen to use this cut instead of the standard. It really helps to go with this version when adding the horns to the away jerseys. At least the uniforms will fit much better than here, but at least you can see how this cut helps the design.
  25. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/6U5BX7esP9rdAri9/?mibextid=xfxF2i Southwest Kansas is reportedly looking for host families for their players.
