Somewhere very far down my to-do list is to set up a hosting service on my extra server space.  I probably won't allow PHP, but at least SSI would work.  Of course, anyone using this space would be hosted by DetroitHockey.Net and have that in their URL

I've kicked around the idea of allowing people from this board some webspace on the pucknet.com server.  Only thing I've waffled on is opening FTP up wide open; right now I have it restricted to an access list of hosts.

It's on my side of my DSL right now, but after I've been at my new job for a bit, I think I might look into co-locating it there (I think my boss said I could have free co-lo; we're an ISP).

Would anyone actually be interested in that?

That's what Mockba and I were talking about further up this thread.  Most of the free servers don't allow Server Side Includes and I'm pretty sure none allow PHP so I think the only way to do it would be to make it all a javascript.

Actually, we could do it in a frame, couldn't we? One person controls this frame and you just split we just split our site up into two frames. One where this bar appears, and one for our regular site. I'm not thinking to hard about this right now, but I believe it could be done.

The place that uses the frame though, should be a place that is not easily subjected to bandwidth consumption like Geocities or Angelfire.  I'm thinking DPMonline, who hosts CC.com and the SLE and doesn't ever seem to go down...but that's up to the owners of it to decide.

discrim - i think u sig is a BIT to long... i think if u shrink it down a bit it would be better. cuz then ur post gets made wider and it messes up things (especially on my computer)

It doesn't screw anything up for me, but it does get wider. You could probably shorten it just by cutting off some of the excess brick.

Man, some of those names are just too long.

I don't have that kind of width-room to devote to the select screen...

would it be possible for some of you to shorten your names, especially those of you who have less of a "company"-type name (ie. SHB Creative Visions, which is exactly as wide as my website will show your name to be) as opposed to a webpage name (ie, but no offense meant, KevinMets99's MLB Uniforms... I can only see up to the U in Uniforms).
