Dan O'Mac
I actually like the brown sweater with tan pants better than the standard look. I like this.
CanucksBrad
I registered here just post and say how much I love those whole concept. I am hesitant about a team in Las Vegas, and about the name "Aces", and still am. But if they did it up half as good as the entire set or material in this thread I would be all for it. Your apparel, promotional material, ect... is better than what most of the professional marketing teams have come up with in the entire NHL.Well done, sir. Guest darkpiranha
I gotta say that with the explanation of the leather flight jacket, the brown has jumped up to the the top of the list. It now makes the most sense in this theme. Maybe tweak it a bit more to make it evoke a leather jacket even more. How much of a faux leather texture do you think a jersey could get away with? In any event, I'm down with brown to be the main jersey of renown.
Thnr21
I got to say I am very impressed with the way things went in this forum, very impressive work done.I don't think the grey really hits the mark though. Nevada has a lot to be proud of with it's USAF history, but it's also known primarily around the world for it's gambling.I truly think a jersey with the card-table felt jersey would be more suitable. It's kind of army green-ish. With a more prominent white scheme and maybe a red stripe I think it could be something that ties in the army and the casino style in a respectable way.A navy and gold scheme would be very impressive as well. And a scheme that isn't seen in the NHL just yet IIRC
hockey week
Like seriously, this wins. This wins the board. This has to be the best, most thorough, most unique and well thought out concept on this board. It has everything, and has real marketing potential. Who is that ownership group in Las Vegas that keeps talking to Gary Bettman? They need to see this. Anything but this idea is a waste. I'll respect any opinion that you can defend. They will choose another pretty dull animal name à la Coyotes, Panthers, Ducks whatever and a stinky'n'mediocre logo manufactured by the same who designed the stripeless Leafs jersey at Reebok.Tssss, what a waste of talent, a pity. (NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB), so the end product ends up being very polished but kinda "sanitized"....Which is why you'll see the more off-the-wall stuff in the minors. While I contemplate the colour issue, here's some novelty stuff...First off...some inflatable "whackers", and a new twist on an old product...And, some fun headwear... *The Battle of Seattle

dolphins91
You should make model airplanes like the one in your logo, and have a blimp style airplane that flies around the arena before the game.EDIT : sorry if my wording is bad, just look up milwaukee admirals blimp and you should know what i'm talking about

I can't say this enough. Do you have a separate web site for your concept? And PLEASE, do everything you can to contact William Foley's group to submit your ideas. I guarantee you that he will be impressed.Who knows, he might even ask you to help in the designing process not just for the logo and jerseys, but the entire branding of the franchise.I know Foley prefers the Black Knights name, but your idea of using the Aces name may work.I will share this thread on the Vegas Wants Hockey Facebook page and see if that helps you out, too. sparkychewbarky
...a bit of a reboot...I've received a lot of feedback on this topic. The most common criticism was that the colours were a little too drab, and, (since this is Vegas), perhaps a little more gold in the colour scheme would "glitter it up" a bit.I researched some "Air Force Blues" and found something called "Blue Yonder" (sounds appropriate)...C-52 M-32 Y-0 K-35.This blue is a tad more colourful, but manages to be light enough to differ itself from the other teams' blues.I've added some touches of metallic gold. The new colours may resemble the old Capitals' colour combo, if anything. *The Battle of Seattle
sparkychewbarky
The inclusion of gold also jazzes up the merchandise...I reworked the "Wingman" idea from the Wild League...It seemed to suit the Aces theme... *The Battle of Seattle
