Time to put a bow on this.

Thank you to all for the input, suggestions, etc.

Personally, I think a Vegas NHL franchise would do well.

I'm sure that "real" Las Vegans would appreciate an identity for their city other than the "strip".

Many are concerned that the seats would be full of non-hockey fans....suits & high-rollers who acquire tickets through value-added deals and cross-promotions offered to them by local businesses.

...Quite like Toronto when you think of it.

So what? Perhaps all this "non-hockey" money would subsidize ticket prices so that regular families with kids could afford to see a game.

...Quite unlike Toronto, when you think of it.

Anyway, to those who roll their eyes at a Vegas team, I say "Roll the Dice" and give it a ride !

Crank this up and enjoy the video!...

I enjoyed veiwing it. Love EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. only gripe is that they have to play the sharks. But that was not under your control.anyway looking forward to seeing what else you do with other things

Thanks b.

Hot damn, the dog pops up as the song gets to "Little more bite little less bark". Nice touch

Thank you Dbro. It was purely by accident. I didn't notice that 'til you pointed it out.

I did it on my kids' imac in "imovie".

Seriously, no matter what Las Vegas truly is, a sin city, a stomping ground for gamblers, or the home of the king...... Seriously, this is a must for a NHL team in this city since there are 14 teams in the Western while 16 teams in the Eastern.

IF ACES soar, I will be seeing these fan stuffs in my home!

Yes Sparky!! That was awesome! It really makes me want your creation in the NHL even though I originally hated the thought of a team in Vegas before Quebec, Seattle, Golden Horseshoe or Portland.

Someone make this a team now!

LOVE the video. In reality, some of the marketing stuff would ruffle the feathers of the Presley estate, I bet, but gracious, I want to see this on the ice!

Damn. That's nice!

Thanks for the response guys.

I'd also rather see a team in the locations you mentioned #1, but maybe Vegas could work...It'd be a unique franchise for sure.

Amazing work! I can only hope our LV NHL team will have a design package this nice!

Whitefoot...it was great hearing from someone in Vegas. Good luck!

...and finally (for real this time)

an obvious Aces product that I completely missed...

Congratulations @sparky chewbarky! You've done an amazing job with this thread and I love the amount of thought and creativity you've put into your work. My favourite creation from this thread would be Ace Vegas. He looks terrific!!

Damn it, how's this flown under my radar this whole time?

The pun's probably been made already, but this is absolutely an ace piece of work. Brilliant in its simplicity, yet it feels completely refreshing. I actually really like the black and white uniform (and yet I'm not normally too fond of black and white uniforms), but the blue-grey you've come up with works really well as the primary colour. Love how you've integrated the striping into the logo as well.

Curious to know if you have any plans for an alternate logo or a shoulder patch, but other than that I've got nothing to add :D

Thanks ww. The logo on front of this uni version was my secondary.

It was just the wordmark placed diagonally across an ace shape...

It wasn't used as a shoulder patch on the regular unis because it kinda crowded the shoulder striping.

could you do a more organized presentation of the logos and unis to finish it off? This has to be one of the best concepts to come up since I joined the boards. Great job.

Las Vegas NHL team gets high-rolling name, logo from fan

While Las Vegas doesn't have an NHL team yet, one fan has some ideas for what they should be called and look like.

I'm curious to know if Sparky submitted it himself, or if someone submitted it for him (without his knowledge)

Double post...but certainly news that was worthy of a double post!

Thanks guys...I didn't know that the CBC had put it out there 'til I read these posts.

That's pretty cool.

Thanks for letting me know.
