Unpopular uniform/logo elements: who did them best?

My MLB powder blue vote goes to the Braves.

That is awful
I always thought those Braves uniforms were the worst of the MLB powder blues. They need some red for more contrast IMO.

In baseball:

pullovers:

A's

Pirates

All others, without exception, were bad. (The Red Sox' and Cardinals' pullovers in particuluar were tragic.)

Waistband pants:

A's

All other waistband pants, even those of the Pirates, were bad. (Note that it is possible to have a pullover jersey with belted pants, as the Mets did.)

Coloured jerseys:

A's

There has never been another coloured jersey that didn't look cheesy and amateurish.

The A's thus violated three of my personal uniform "rules" (hell, let's throw in a fourth, for their sanitaries in a colour other than white), yet still had one of the greatest uniforms of all time.

1990s teal:SJ Sharks

MLB light-blue road unis: i liked all of them, mostly braves and brewers

NFL side panels: Broncos

NFL piping: Falcons

NBA roundel logo: 76ers and raptors

NCAAF BFBS: ASU, Boise State, and UNC

NCAAF GFGS: Texas A&M and Tennessee

NBA BFBS: Hornets and Suns

NFL Nike rebrand: Seahawks (As much as i hate them they have a nice set)

MLB BFBS: A's (The first one) and Mets

NBA Sleeves: Warriors gold, clippers, and T-wolves

A's having good BFBS? C'mon, now...

I agree about the light blue MLB road unis though. Most of 'em looked pretty good. I'm sure that's an unpopular opinion, and this isn't that thread, but, hey. lol

I think you're forgetting a great uniform.

Drop/Rise Shadow: the 1973-2002 San Antonio Spurs. Granted, I was happy that they eschewed the shadows for double outlines, but something about those drop shadows made them less egregious than other shadows throughout sports. I can't really put my finger on it, but it simply worked.

Heck, the Spurs also pulled off outline-only scripts:

Like the A's, their great color scheme allows them to violate various design rules and emerge with a great look.

The A's have had some great white uniforms. Green & Gold pops off the white. Match the sleeve stripes with the waist stripes and that uniform is perfect.

Can someone tell me what "pop" means? What an annoying word

I think "Pops" is used on this board to describe the vibrancy of a color when paired with another often contrasting color or colors.
