Ok, this is for all the collectors who collect cards. What is your most prized card.

For me besides hundreds of memorbilia cards, I own a card with Joe Thornton and a piece of a car from the good ol' Boston Garden on it.

i actually have two: a Doug Flutie from his Bears days that was, oddly enough, found in my basement several years ago; and a Brett Favre rookie card. A rare shot of him in preseason action in Falcons black...owning it feels like owning a gold bar that used to be in Fort Knox, for real :notworthy:

Surprisingly, I've found that rookie cards aren't worth that much, but they still could mean something to the owner.

I have a rookie card of Hasek, as well as some other pretty durn good players.

My most prized card that I can think of would probably have to be my signed Pavol Demitra card though.

However, I have a game moment card of Brett Hull scoring number 500, and if I could find a way to get that signed, that would head the list.

I've got a pretty solid collection, though. Mostly hockey because I've been collecting them for the past 5 plus years, but before that I developed a good baseball collection, and mixed in there was some football and basketball plus other random sports.

Is it worth anything? Maybe $4.00?

I have several, this would also qualify as my most prized collections. Well, i guess that would really be my 5 children, but here's my list:

All Rookie Cards

Cal Ripken 1982 #21

Wayne Gretzky 1979 #18

Mario Lemieux 1985 #9

Mike Schmidt 1973 #615

Pete Rose 1963 #537

Johnny Bench 1968 #247

Nolan Ryan 1968 #177

Joe Montana 1981 #216

John Elway 1984 #63

And the 2 that would have to be tied for the top:

Walter Payton 1976#148

Bird/Dr. J/Magic 1980- That year they had a triple perforated card made out of the standard size cards.

If I had my Topps 1993 Drew Bledsoe graded, it'd be around $300, but it's only about $6 now. My collection is more based on potential than actual value, but I have some that aren't too shabby. I am trying to get that elusive 2000 SP Brian Urlacher (autoed, of course). I'd frame it and hang it in my own Urlacher shrine... :notworthy:

I got Roberto Clemente's last card at a garage sale for 5 cents. That's a good one. At that same sale I got a Willie Mays Card. Neither are worth much, but they still rock. They guy had a box of cards selling them for 5 cents each. I took the lot.

Also a Mark McGwire Rookie card that is a piece of crap. I'll never sell my cards though...so I don't care about values as much.
