Earl
Over in the CCCAA, College of the Canyons Cougars of Santa Clarita, CA quietly but nicely upgraded their athletics logo. A bit overdetailed for my liking, but I can't help but say how much of an improvement this is.
Earl
A school some of you may know: Edward Waters College Tigers of Jacksonville rebranded in August. They gave a teaser in February of their new EWC mark then last month showed off the new tiger logos. This set was created by Greg Hahn of Designs by Hahn. He is the same person who designed the new logos for Paine College, University of Montana Western, National Park College, and assisted with Oklahoma Wesleyan University & Columbia College of South Carolina. Edward Waters is a HBCU that competes in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference of the NAIA & plays football as an affiliate in the mega 21-team Mid-South Conference.OLDNEWNEW Football Helmet

A brawl broke out w/ their fans and players vs our players, then some of our fans got into it too. They only had 1 random guy in a golf cart as security. Earl
Back in June Virginia Wesleyan University Marlins updated their logos & marks. Now more horizontal, gone are the teeth but colors are mostly the same. Font has been straightened. The former college is a member of the Division III's Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and is the only school in the U.S. with the Marlins nickname. Earl
Over an hour's drive southeast of St. Louis in Illinois is the home of the Rend Lake College Warriors. They play 7 sports in the NJCAA, football not one of them. In July they modernized their brand. I believe the primary logo has 8 colors but there are options with reduced colors & the secondary logo has less detail and is single-color. The RL logo isn't brand new but I don't think it's more than a year old either. Very well done update for a school on the junior college level.OLDNEW Edited September 18, 2018 by Earl Fixed links

Original source was from a shared Google Drive of their logos on their athletics website. That and not every image I have is online so I'll keep a permanent Imgur album for this. Hopefully it's good to go. Thanks.

It’s wasn’t an original for them either, just a generic Indian found on a google search.

On that is an Indian logo that I know is a copy of University of the Cumberlands of NAIA when they were formerly Cumberland College Indians. Google search shows Port-Neches-Grove using the Rend Lake version on the hudl.com account for the girls' varsity soccer team. Hudl.com is no way a credible source of logos but I see how it's not original. That's the only source I see of Port Neches-Groves using that, their twitter accounts also show the older logos. I understand not everything is posted online. Interestingly on Rend Lake College's athletics website there's two links on the right side dedicated to their new logos including a well-done usage manual so you'd think they were original owners of the design. I'm curious how old this new 'warrior/indian' logo really is and who designed it.
tjs11
I can't find a record of it, but I'm 90% sure this was an istockphoto logo at one point. They have a bunch of generic sports team logos just like this. And would explain why another college uses it too.

Earl
Back to Division I, I looked up UNLV and I noticed the 'new' Rebel logo is gone for good. Ever since it went public in late June 2017 people have hated on it so much the school has been quiet about the brand for the past year. In the previous style guide there was only 1 version of the older arch UNLV and now the current one is just the arch UNLV has multiple variations of it. Note that the older rebel logo with the white mustache is long gone but I still see it a lot today.GONEPrimary Again
