MJWalker45
https://www.nfl.com/news/netflix-will-be-the-home-to-live-nfl-games-this-christmas-day Netflix is getting the Christmas Day games this year. Netflix has an early Christmas gift for you -- but it won't fit under the tree. On Dec. 25, 2024, Netflix will be the global home of the NFL's two Christmas Day marquee games. And mark your calendar for Christmas Day in 2025 and 2026 when Netflix will be streaming at least one holiday game each year as part of this three-season deal. Netflix has been playing ball with the NFL for a couple of years now beginning with the hit series "Quarterback" in 2023. This summer, "Receiver" is set to premiere on Netflix and will follow five of the NFL's best pass catchers through their 2023 season on and off the field: Davante Adams (Las Vegas Raiders), Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings), George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers), Deebo Samuel (San Francisco 49ers) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions). "Last year, we decided to take a big bet on live -- tapping into massive fandoms across comedy, reality TV, sports and more," said Bela Bajaria, Netflix chief content officer. "There are no live annual events, sports or otherwise, that compare with the audiences NFL football attracts. We're so excited that the NFL's Christmas Day games will be only on Netflix." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40150773/jets-vikings-first-uk-game-jags-back-back-overseas NFL INTERNATIONAL GAMES and DATES JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Some of the NFL's newest potential stars -- and one of its oldest -- will be showcased in the league's five international games in 2024. Six of the top 11 picks in the most recent draft and veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers highlight a schedule that begins Week 1 in Sao Paulo and concludes Week 10 in Munich. Three games will be played in London this season, beginning with Rodgers and the New York Jets playing the Minnesota Vikings and rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy (No. 11 pick) on Oct. 6 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Rodgers went 17-11-1 against the Vikings when he was with the Green Bay Packers. He previously played in London during his final season with the Packers -- a 27-22 loss to the New York Giants on Oct. 9, 2022. Rodgers fractured his right thumb on the final play of the game, a Hail Mary, and it probably affected him for the remainder of the year -- the worst statistical season of his career. The Jacksonville Jaguars will play back-to-back games in London for the second season in a row, first as the designated road team against first overall pick Caleb Williams, No. 9 pick Rome Odunze and the Chicago Bears at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 13. The Jaguars will then be the host when they play the New England Patriots and No. 3 overall pick Drake Maye at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 20. The international schedule concludes with the Giants and sixth overall pick Malik Nabers against the Carolina Panthers and 2023 No. 1 pick Bryce Young on Nov. 10 at Allianz Arena in Munich. The games in London and Germany will all begin at 9:30 a.m. ET and be broadcast on the NFL Network. 2024 NFL International Series MATCHUP DATE SITE Packers vs. Eagles Sept. 6 Sao Paulo (Corinthians Arena) Jets vs. Vikings Oct. 6 London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium) Jaguars vs. Bears Oct. 13 London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium) Patriots vs. Jaguars Oct. 20 London (Wembley Stadium) Giants vs. Panthers Nov. 10 Munich (Allianz Arena) 1 1

waltere
I love how that report hypes up all the high draft picks that will be playing in the International games, when all that really means is that it's mostly crummy teams playing in them Quote 1 hour ago, BringBackTheVet said: sorry sweetie, but I don't suck minor-league d CCSLC Post of the day September 3rd 2012

Isn't this trope dead and buried by now? Good grief - we all know that the schedule is pre-determined years in advance in terms of home and road. 1 Quote It's where I sit. It'll begin to shift at some point with newer schedules. On an unrelated note, good idea for the NFL to schedule the Dolphins only two SNF games in Green Bay and Cleveland late in the year... because we all know Tua Tagovailoa plays so well under 60 degree weather. Those will surely be great games.

Would be a good one but even with flex scheduling it won't happen. Browns are at Denver on a Monday night, host the steelers on Sunday at 1, host kc on Sunday at 1, at Cincinnati on Thursday night, and then host Miami on SNF. Browns need every minute of off time between the KC game and a potentially major division game on Thursday night.
