-kj Posted June 6, 2003 Share Posted June 6, 2003 Ok, my boss asked me to work on a concept for his new hockey team, to be named the Eagles. The team decided to go with red, white, and blue, against his better wishes (he's apparently been named captain, but it sounds like a weird bunch), blue being the colour of their breezers and helmets.Anyhow, thanks to our own Pantone, I've played with the colours a bit. I decided to do a bit of a different angle than most eagle head logos, and... well, I liked it when I left the office, but looking at it at home here, I'm not so sure now.Eagles concept logoThe eye on the left side is still bothering me, I'm not sure where to place that so that it looks right. I'm also thinking I need to make the part of the face that's to the left of the beak a bit less pronounced, so the head doesn't look so round.Thoughts? Suggestions? I really don't know how I would go about fixing it up. Take a look at some other eagle logos. Philadelphia Eagles and Saginaw Spirit are some real good ones. All angles at once?Another good logo to take a look at, poor coloring and design issues aside, is that Colorago Eagles logo from some minor hockey league...CHL? If you don't want to do it "profile" style, you could do it from a "straight-on" style like the Ravens main logo (not the one on their helmets)... I think you're on the right track and I like how you're trying to be original. I thnk a touch up here and there and you'll be in good shape.
