What about the SF Giants in NL West?

Swiss

Recommended Posts

The Jints are 5 games behind the Padres but it's the schedule:

Giants at Washington, SD Padres at Colorado both games today.

Later there goes that:

Giants at Colorado three games' serie.

Padres at Arizona three games' serie.

-------

Giants at Padres four games' serie.

-------

Arizona at Giants three games' serie.

Dodgers at Padres three games' serie.

If the Giants keep some winning pace, maybe they have strong chances to claim the title of the weakest Division ever...

First of all, I don't know what a "serie" is.

Second " games' " should not have a " ' " at the end

Third I'm putting the chances at the Giants just making the playoffs at 1.87120%. No I am not crazy.

What about Giants?

I say they got about as much of a chance as.... Oh, say, Wazzu beating Washington in another Apple Cup game. To say, they have no chance.

Unless Barry can find that 'flaxseed oil' again ;)

I thought he was from somewhere in Red Sox Nation. :P

Thanks CC97, but I don't any problem if someone teaches me a bit... It makes a little better my English.

I never felt that leafs13 was poundering on me. I thought that the singular of "series" was serie but it isn't that.

Thanks for your opinions, folks.

PD: The Red Sox Nation ISN'T geographically exclusive of New England. I can feel myself as a true Swiss despite being in a foreign place. The same thing with the Red Sox and their Nation. GO SOX.

If the Giants can sweep the Pads than they can do it, otherwise I think the Padres will take the NL West.

and probably take the WS too knowing the craziness of baseball, but oh well...

Watching baseball I can witness amazing things like a World Series between wild card winners and the Red Sox taking it all...

Sorry, I think I was a bit out of hand there, even though you thought I wasn't. Your English is already very good.

That thought did strike me yesterday as ESPN was discussing the Giants' late season surge. As of late it seems the team that gets on a roll stays hot through the Series and wins it all. I started thinking that if the Giants do manage to get in they certainly stand a good chance of running the table. That certainly does seem to be the way baseball has gone for the past few years.

C'mon dear teacher! There is no need of any apology. :)

YH, that is I thought... what about if the Giants will discount one game this weekend and put all their stakes on that series in San Diego...?

I still don't think that they have much of a shot. Now that Bonds is back though, raises their chances a lot though.

Sorry, Swiss, it ain't happening buddy. If Barry's knee had cooperated this year, I think the division was set up perfectly for the Giants. Too many games to make up, not enough time left to do so.

I wouldn't doubt it if there would be a team to come up and take it while Padres and Giants are battling it out for the title. This is how unpredictable this division is anymore

Sorry to break it to you lilg, but the Diamondbacks have even less of a chance than the Giants to win the NL West. What I find to be amusing is that the Rockies have the best W-L record against the NL West amongst the NL West teams, so they're looking to play spoiler.

Well... the truth's time is already arrived. This tonight: GIANTS at PADRES.

They will play 4 games, the Jints are trailing 4 games... let's see the first round.

I'll give it one eye... and the other eye will watch the AL East race.

They've got to sweep to have any chance, but for your sake, I hope they do. Go Gigantes!

I gotta agree....

The G-Men have to take all 4 from the Pads to have a chance...otherwise, well, they can join the Dodgers, D-Backs, and Rockies in some golf on October 3rd.

Still, anything can happen...and the way the NL West has gone, anything is possible...
