OnWis97 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 The Vikings shot themselves in the foot over and over and over. In this big win streak, this was the second playoff caliber team they have played and they flat out did not show up. Now that they are essentially out of the playoff hunt, does this mean Tice will be fired?Oh, I hope so... waggie Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 This was a very pathetic showing. Our Offense was offensive, the special teams were more like special ed, the defense was the only thing actually keeping it a game for the most part. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats
Pat Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 please please don't fire Mike Tice! I love him! Proud owner of the Utah Pioneers of the Continnental Baseball League.PACKER BACKER FOREVER!
The_Admiral Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I sell red challenge flags to the NFL. Don't fire Mike Tice. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
FiddySicks Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Whew!!!! This really helps Tampa out. They couldve been really screwed. Now, GO ANYONE WHO PLAYS DALLAS!!!!!!!!!! On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
waggie Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 There is no doubt about it, the Bears HAVE to lose. At the same time the Falcons have to lose. Yet, they play each other. How about a tie?Basically, every team we are in contention with for the last spot hold the tiebreaker over us, now that Washington won too. the only one we hold over is Dallas. If the Falsons lose, they beat us so they still hold the edge. We have to win the Division basically. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats
StarrDogg Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Tice is getting fired no matter what, winning or losing record
Seadragon76 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Well, if Chicago loses, that does open the door for the Division title because they play each other on New Year's Day.Either way, Tice is going to stay. Look, after that horrid 2-5 start, going 6-1 has helped him and that franchise get back into the playoff picture. Can you say possible Coach of the Year and an extension and, best of all, a freaking raise?
waggie Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 if Tice stays, IF, he will probably get a 1 year deal. No big time deals I guarantee. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats
NJTank Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 I doubt it that 1 year deal was this year, Ziggy Wolf is gonna want new people in there. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
OnWis97 Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 I don't know. It always seems like he's got something on someone. Two years ago when they missed the playoffs, I thought he might go. He got an extension. And last year they made it, but at 8-8. Then they win the playoff game at Lambeau. Woo. 9-9 after a loss in Philly. Nothing to write home about. I don't think he'll be fired. I just hope so. Then Sherman can go back to being the worst coach named Mike in the NFC North. brinkeguthrie Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 nah, Tice is toast. The new owner will want to CLEAN HOUSE in Jan. New front office, new coaching staff.Culpepper will go too. Wait and see.
NJTank Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 I think so too Culpepepr will be a question mark going into next year and I see the Cardinals taking a shot at him new stadium Dennis Green etc etc etc. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
OnWis97 Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 Culpepper will go too. Wait and see. I hope so. Johnson's turnovers today gave me Culpepper flashbacks. I know Daunte's departure would leave the position uncertain, but I just don't think he is the answer. Pat Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Wow I cant believe Minnesota fans want to get rid of Culpepper. Last time I checked Brad Johnson is ancient. He's not the long term answer. You know how hard it is to get a top flight QB? One bad season after having one of the best QB seasons of all time makes you want to ditch the guy? I just don't get it. I know Johnson is not the answer. And I also know a good quarterback is not easy to come by. I just don't think Culpepper is that good. I know his numbers last year. But I also know his entire career. He is the NFL's all time leader in fumbles per game. He makes bad decisions. He has enough athleticsm and arm strength to look OK at times, but as you saw this year, he needs to be a product of a system that includes such things as a great O-Line and Randy Moss. I suppose with Birk back at Center next year, he may have the protection he needs. But I just think he's a couple notches short of being able to really take a team somewhere.
