Sean Salisbury VS John Clayton

Has any one noticed the bad blood Salisbury has for John Clayton. Salisbury is always putting down Clayton for not playing football. Basically saying Clayton does not know what he is talking about. Clayton never seems put out or even angry at Salisbury comments. Is this real or Reality TV?

Sometimes I watch the segments with Salisbury and Clayton. Salisbury owns Clayton. Basically Clayton is Salisbury's prisonb***h when it comes to these segments. I mean Salisbury absolutely tears up Clayton and he's right when he says that Clayton doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm not saying that Salisbury is the best analyst ever, but he sure as hell is way better than that fool Clayton. Clayton can't get angry because Salisbury will continue to tear him up or Salisbury could find Clayton in the parking lot after the show.

You really should listen to the ESPN radio show they do TOGETHER on Saturdays from 3-7. If they hated each other, would they be co-hosting a show? Probably not. It's a schtick for ratings purposes. On their show, they are much "nicer" to each other, speak highly of each other, and actually agree quite a bit. They even complain a bit other when they agree too much.

Salisbury is an ANALYST, Clayton is a WRITER. It's a big difference. They cannot do each other's job. Clayton is a much better writer than Salisbury is an analyst, but I love the way they supplement one another.

lmao, he does!!!

But yeah, it's all in good fun, they stage the bad blood. But Clayton does get owned like hell when they do those segments.

Salisbury is annoying as hell. And yeah, they play it up for TV.

Anyone see Rob Dibble get at the host guy of Best Damn SPorts Show that one time? He seemed kinda dickish to me, just answering every counterpoint with "I have a World Series ring, you don't." "I have a nationally syndicated radio show on baseball, you don't." If I were the guy (Chris Rose? I don't really watch that show) I'd have said "I'm actually participating in this discussion, you're not."

Kinda OT, but it pisses me off when ex athletes revert to that instead of making their points.

Personally, I wouldn't let Sean Salisbury take the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to the 1988 Grey Cup, but that's just me.

Right here, Salisbury, you jackass.

now THIS is funny.

During an argument, Salisbury attempted to prove his point by telling Clayton, "You never played in the NFL." Clayton, noting that Salisbury spent most of his career as a backup quarterback on the sidelines (he received about a year's worth of NFL snaps in an eight year career), fired back, "Neither did you."

LOL!

Clayton gets owned, but he gets a few shots here and there, and they're priceless.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Come on, who doesn't have one of those pictures on their cell phone?

Does Salisbury look like the saddest guy on TV, or what? During those debates with John Clayton, he always has an expression like he just chugged dish soap while learning that his puppy got run over.

oh ,my god ,i strong recommend you to have a visit on the website ,or if i'm the president ,i would have an barceque with the anthor of the articel .

Salisbury may have played and knows SOME, but you don't have to be a former player to know it. I'm sure Clayton watches and researches a ton. I seem to like Clayton more anyway. What was shocking was, I believe near the end, there was one, maybe two, weeks he picked the Panthers to LOSE. Everyone has a team that they are on their jock, but c'mon.

I wish they had MORE people like John Clayton on Espn, writers/reporters with GOOD information and interesting news, not ex jocks yammering about obvious points and irrelevant nonsense (i.e. anyone on the Sunday NFL Countdown show - absolutely unwatchable).

It's all about the spectacle at ESPN - no more substance.

Salisbury sucks. I get the pleasure of hearing him on the local radio.

So, you're a radio host in chicago, should you honestly show your hatred for the bears as transparently as he does? He doesn't do it nationally...its only around here.

No, I don't want my commentators to be cheeerleaders, but he's just rediculous. And he has no clue what he's talking about. His career stats are about the same as REX GROSSMAN's where THIS year. And all he does is rip on Grossman....

He's an idiot.

I prefer Clayton. I think he is more informed and researches what he talks about. I listened to him when he does radio in Seattle and its always informative. The pics take the name Salisbury Steak to a different place
