NickNickNick
I posted in the other thread, but feel this deserves its own place. The new Ti-Cats logo looks like something that was proposed for the Detroit Lions a few years ago, just slightly changed...check out the two:Upon comparing, I suppose you could get an "inspired by" credit, no rip-off. Does someone have the full Lions logo? I'm pretty sure it ended in the same way the Ti-Cats one does... Spoiler New York Rangers. Stanley Cup Champions - 1928, 1933, 1940, 1994. Saskatchewan. gueman
I always thought it reminded me of this. Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys. P. J. O'Rourke

hecticbro
Looks a bit like the Towson Tigers helmet, but in white instead of yellow.http://www.nationalchamps.net/Helmet_Project/Towson.gifI watched the game and thought it looked really cool, but it's not how the Ti-Cats are "supposed" to look. Plus, every team in the CFL has a different color helmet, and that's a good thing.
JohnnyFriedRice
So if one team has a picture of a tiger that's kinda sideways and he's roaring, no other team can use it without it being called a ripoff?Similar, but not a rip off.
Jezus_Ghoti
Too many logos like this. Ticats isn't a ripoff in any meaningful way.
Captain Apollo
Can't post the image. But I think it looks more like this. Follow the link.http://www.sportslogos.net.com/~asgsport/images2/Prowlers_hel.gif

Shumway
Aside from both being cats(meaning they'll obviously have similar features), I don't see much of a similarity.
BawlmerOreos
I always thought it reminded me of this. Thanks for the plug. But like someone said in another post, how many way scan you draw a profile Tiger head showing movement? It's similar, but we haven't called any lawyers over it. iowahoo
Well since the Ti-Cats time honoured logo is <admittedly, I believe> a directo rip off of the Princeton Tigers, whats the big deal?
powersurge
That alternate Ti-Cats logo is a million times better than the Lion's proposed crappy change.BTW, there is only so much you can do to a Tiger logo to make it look authentic and not like everything else since most tigers all look relatively similar. (Except for maybe the tiger from He-Man who was green I think. So as a few guys already said "its not a rip off" in this case.
LogoFan
Too many logos like this. Ticats isn't a ripoff in any meaningful way. Um, are you saying that these two logos bear any type of resemblance other than being a head shot?
