so the bears will wear their dark jerseys? i guess since they are the home team they get to choose...this is the first time in a while which a conference has worn a home jersey two straight times....i think the cowboys and bills did it back earlier in the 90's

It would actually be three straight. Eagles wore their darks too in Super Bowl XXXIX.

The Bears will be the "home" team (like the Steelers were last year) and can choose which jersey to wear. I'd say its a safe bet they will wear their home/dark blue jersey.

I dunno. You have to remember the last time they were in the Super bowl they thumped the Pats in their white jerseys. I kinda doubt Smith is gonna take the same Steelers like approach, but you never know.

The same conference has worn dark 3 times in a row a four different times, all caused by the "home" team wearing white during the middle game. Home teams to wear white in the Super Bowl:

XL - Steelers

XXVII - Cowboys

XVII - Redskins

XIII - Cowboys

As you can see, the Steelers last year were the first home team to wear a jersey other than their traditional "home" jersey (the Redskins wore maroon jerseys as the home team in SB VII, but that was before the days of wearing white at home).

oh ,my god ,i strong recommend you to have a visit on the website ,or if i'm the president ,i would have an barceque with the anthor of the articel .

Notice how Dallas didn't do that "White at home" in 1970 when they wore blue against the Colts in SBV. Anyone know what year that began for them anyway?

I'm pretty sure that's because Super Bowl rules at the time forced the "home" team to wear their team color jersey, so the Cowboys didn't get a choice.

Chicago will be in dark jerseys/white pants, Indianapolis will be in all-white.

Acording to what? I don't mean to bust your balls, but I'm curious where you heard this.

No problem. It's on the Bears' website:

The Bears will be designated as the home team and wear their traditional navy jerseys and white pants Feb. 4 when they face the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLI in Miami. The home team alternates every Super Bowl with the NFC representative serving as the home team in odd-numbered years and the away team in even-numbered years. That?s why the Bears wore their white away jerseys with navy pants in Super Bowl XX on Jan. 26, 1986.

Beginning with SBX, the home team got to choose. Before then, the home team had to wear their colors.
