TruColor Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Another Todd Radom original...I remember when he was working on this one, he and I discussed (again) how incredibly awkward the D-Rays' color scheme is...1. Radom did an excellent job as usual.2. I really like the D-Rays colors because they are distinct (while the new D-Backs are almost identical to the Astros). The only thing I really don't like about their uniforms is their primary logo which is just too big/busy.The problem with the Devil Rays' colors is that they are three dark colors plus White. CubsFanBudMan Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Seriously, other than the diamond being out of proportion (which could be intentional to make the logo more horizontal and fit better on a sleeve), it's not that bad looking a logo.Is it definitely out of proportion? I thought so on first glance, but then I thought maybe it was just an optical illusion.And that zero with the ray would make a wonderful alt cap logo for their midseason Orlando series against Texas. I think the A's use the same colour.Say what you want about the quality of the Rays first 10 seasons, the logo is very sharp, although the shape of the baseball diamond is a bit odd.I didn't realize that on the Rays Alternate uni, there's an extra blue outline on the Ray on the front logo, yet none on the Ray sleeve logo.
