My Proposed D-League

Recommended Posts

It would be nice to have each team have a D-League affiliate. Also, each D-league team should be located near their parent club. For example, the Jazz's team in Orem, Utah.

East

Southeast

Atlanta: Jacksonville

Charlotte: Birmingham

Miami: San Juan

Orlando: Tampa-St. Petersburg

New Jersey: Virginia Squires because Dr. J played for both the Squires and Nets

Atlantic

Washington: Baltimore Bullets

Boston: Providence

New York: Hartford

Philadelphia: Syracuse Nationals

Toronto: Buffalo

Central

Cleveland: Columbus

Detroit: Fort Wayne Pistons

Indiana: Kentucky Colonels cuz of their old ABA rivalry

Chicago: St. Louis

Milwaukee: Kansas City

West

Northwest

Minnesota: Winnipeg

Portland: Vancouver

Seattle: Tacoma

Utah: Orem

Denver: Colorado Springs

Pacific

Golden State: San Francisco Warriors

Sacramento: Las Vegas

LA Lakers: LA D-Fenders

LA Clips: San Diego Clips

Phoenix: Tucson

Memphis: Little Rock

New Orleans: Oklahoma City (if no one moves there)

I think you have a good plan here, but the state of the D-League is fine the way it is right now. In time, each NBA team may have it's own affiliate, but I don't see that happening for at least 5 years, possibly more than that.

Also, I think the reasoning for swapping the affiliates of Jersey and DC is because Virginia is further south than Baltimore.

That's almost too much awesomeness for one image to handle.

Its point should never be forgotten.

Eh, I'm gonna be the one to spoil it all by spilling the beans on what it means:

STOP REEL LINE MINT!!!

That's what it means. Stop for a second, reel your line out, and catch a mint. Mints are yummy.

took me alittle to get that. I was never really good at those. :D

I still don't get it? Care to explain....sorry I'm a little slow.

I have no idea either. But everyone should use this picture whenever a realignment thread pops up. (Yeah JH2X4CC, I'm talking about you.)

Realignment threads = boring. I thought it was just me!

These threads have been somewhat abhorred by a good part of the community for a good while now. But for some odd reason there's been a rash of em, so the folks against it are fighting the good fight: against it.
