SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

How 'bout those Rays, eh? They just keep on winning!

The Braves will always get my #1 support, but I've adopted the Rays as the #2 ever since I went to a game of theirs back in May.

I like em too, if only because they're going to knock one of the AL East teams out of the playoffs should they make it, and I am a huge fan of schadenfreude when it comes to the SAWX and YANKZ.

I guess everybody loves Rays

Post of the day.

And I am dead serious.

Eh, I've heard that one too much to give him much credit for it. Heck, there's a guy here who basically uses that as his username.

For the year I lived in Florida, including the end of last season, I liked watching and cheering for the Rays. They've always been a fun team to watch -- score a lot of runs, give up more. It's unfortunate they're battling my favorite team because I really do want to cheer for them. But I hate them. I really do. ^_^

You can thank Omar Minaya and his deadline siesta for that

Yeah...since you can't blame Willie for anything anymore...

Nothing major could have gotten Raul Ibanez, Arthur Rhodes someone along those lines. Jose Guillen would have been a good pick up. Paul Byrd, even Livan Hernandez is available with Maine on the Dl he is worth a waiver claim.

It's easy to say "____ should have traded for ____." Who were they going to deal? Did they have the prospects or current players available to make certain deals?

Barry Bonds is still available. :P

Mets fans are funny, everything is an extreme with them. When thy were winning 10 in a row the Mets were invincible. Now that they lost 5 out of 6 and got swept by the Astros, it's all about blaming the GM.

Should Minaya be fired? Maybe,as he's made some questionable moves that have not panned out, but it's time to face some facts. Oliver Perez is an enigma. The guy is either Cy Young caliber or he's the worst pitcher anyone's seen in a long time. There is no middle ground. The bullpen is bad and Billy Wagner can only get a save if he comes in at the beginning of an inning or with no one on base. Otherwise he falls apart.

Just face the fact that the team is not good enough to meet the expectations placed on it this year and move on.

The Seattle Mariners upset a lot of GM's with impossibly high demands, so there goes Ibanez and Arthur Rhodes -- Minaya would've been giving up too much to get either of them. The Royals were committed to keeping Jose Guillen, so there he goes. Livan Hernandez has been, possibly, the worst starter in the League over the past two months, posting a 6.62 ERA in June and a 6.44 ERA in July. In nine of his last thirteen starts he's given up 5+ runs. Not a guy I'd want pitching big games for my team. And Paul Byrd is not the difference between making and missing the playoffs. At best, having Paul Byrd on your roster is the difference between missing the postseason and missing the postseason with Paul Byrd on your roster.

No he's not. He a big baby making up aches and pains as an excuse for being afraid to pitch in a tough spot. It's all part of a larger conspiracy against The Mets and it's led by The Washington Nationals. Haven't you been paying attention?

Speaking of the Nationals, they're hot off a 3-game sweep of the Big Red Machine.

We're comin' for you, New York Mets. You've been warned.

They haven't been the Big Red Machine in what seems like a million years. Now they're just "Red". :P

Go ahead and sweep those Mets. They're one of those teams that I just love to see lose, especially now that Manuel is their manager. I used to hate that guy with the passion of a thousand suns back when he managed the Sox. But, apparently the New York players like him. <_<

I'm one of them...they got to me in 2005. I was living in DC when the Nationals came to town. It is my job to spread rational misinformation.

Well so much for that Brewers making the playoffs. It looks like the wheels have officially come off for that team. Now you could say that your best player attacking the starting pitcher could light a fire under that teams ass, but I seriously doubt it.
