I'm still not counting the Yankees out. As a Red Sox fan, I know that they always make it interesting.

It'd be one thing if they didn't already look like they've given up on Girardi. As long as their situational hitting is absent they haven't a prayer. 7 back in the loss column with about 40 to play when you're rotation is in shambles and the team you're chasing has just as talented a roster and the favorable schedule? I understand it's the Yankees, but...

Too many injuries, the Yankees rotation right now is Mussina, Pettite, Ponson, and then pray for a Monson

Mussina is having a great year

Pettite has been mediocre

Ponson is a lush who is very inconsistent.

Thats like saying the Lakers could make the 4th quarter of game 6 of the NBA Finals interesting...

Sorry, but it's way too soon to count out the Yankees.

With six weeks remaining, the Yankees are only six games behind the Wild Card leader. And after seeing what the Rockies pulled off last year when they could have packed it in before September, you'd have to be crazy to think a team as talented as the Yanks would do otherwise.

You could also say the Phillies were in a worse situation last year as well. It's not over, it's only the middle of August.

Tampa is currently leading Texas 7-2 in the 9th. Assuming they hold on, Tampa will have gone 7-3 on their west coast trip to Oakland, Seattle, and Texas....despite losing Crawford, Longoria, and Percival on this trip.....

They are extremely annoying

There is plenty of time for the Yankees to comeback

This coming from the same guy who said the Mets were done with four months remaining.

<_<

Kind of out of context when I finished the sentence saying the Yanks have too many injuries.

Do you have all my 25,000 posts memorized?

It's not hard to do when 15,000 of said posts are one word: Correct.

Are you proud of the point you've posted well over 25,000 times?

Game. Set. Match.
