See Red
I'm still not counting the Yankees out. As a Red Sox fan, I know that they always make it interesting. It'd be one thing if they didn't already look like they've given up on Girardi. As long as their situational hitting is absent they haven't a prayer. 7 back in the loss column with about 40 to play when you're rotation is in shambles and the team you're chasing has just as talented a roster and the favorable schedule? I understand it's the Yankees, but...

And after seeing what the Rockies pulled off last year when they could have packed it in before September, you'd have to be crazy to think a team as talented as the Yanks would do otherwise. NJTank
There is plenty of time for the Yankees to comeback, but they have an awful lot of injuries to overcome. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

HedleyLamarr
Tampa is currently leading Texas 7-2 in the 9th. Assuming they hold on, Tampa will have gone 7-3 on their west coast trip to Oakland, Seattle, and Texas....despite losing Crawford, Longoria, and Percival on this trip..... HedleyLamarr
Joe Maddon took a page from Buck Showalter's playbook by intentionally walking Josh Hamilton with the bases loaded to make it 7-4 in the bottom of the 9th.The strategery worked, as the next batter struck to end the game....
