Baltimore Orioles

I was looking for something to do, and while scanning the MLB for a team to do, the first team I came across that I felt could use a makeover was the O's. So here they are. I tried to make a new cartoony bird head logo like the old one they had. I don't know if I have it where I like it, but I do think the realistic, static bird they have now is just lame. I wanted to make an original wordmark and cap logo, but nothing I could muster matched the current script and O's for the cap. For the home uniforms I kept the trucker style white front caps, because of all the teams to try it I think Baltimore was the only one to look halfway decent. The alternate is orange because there is no color diversity in the MLB these days. The only teams with colored alternates that aren't blue or red are the A's and Rockies, and it's a shame. On the BP uniforms I tried my bird as the cap logo, but I'm not sure if it works as anything other than a sleeve patch. As usual, C&C is always appreciated!

Love it.... I'm a big fan of the cartoon bird and hate the current.... I like how you kind of bridged the two...bird could use a little work- but everything else is pretty sweet

I don't like the number font at all, and that logo just doesn't say "Orioles" to me. I'd try to incorporate Baltimore into the road somehow.

Wow, this is really quite cool. I would not have though I would have liked the cartoon idea, but you seemed to have executed it well.

I would like to see a version of the bird without the hat, and perhaps looking a bit "meaner". Normally I hate when people do that (see the Arizona Cardinals logo change a while back), but in this case i think it would suit the concept. At the minute he just looks a bit smug.

I love these! A few things, though:

1.) The number font doesn't look as good as it could. Maybe try a more "block" font?

2.) On the away jerseys, you should have the "Baltimore" script instead of the "Orioles" script.

3.) Orange socks might look better with the home alternate jerseys.

Beautiful designs. I love how the bird looks, and the home cap is just awesome. Good job!

Wow. That bird is :censored:ing awesome. I don't like the old bird, but, that, that's cool. The hats are all amazing. The jerseys are pretty cool.

I have one complaint: The nameplate/number font looks too word-processory. I think you should just use a standard block font.

lol I remember the goodfeathers!! Nice Animaniacs reference haha. I wanted to do a Baltimore script, but I'm a total loser when it comes to having to recreate a home script with one that has the city name instead. I tried to clean up the old one on the Orioles page here, but it was just to tricky. Plus when I realized they don't have a Baltimore script now I kind of gave up on it >.<

I like a bird on the cap. They're one team I think that pulls off not having an initial on their cap. I would prefer a cartoon bird to their supposedly realistic bird, but I'm not sure this is the one. Something about the eye positioning. I don't know.

I like this new design except for the fonts. But this team is in drastic change of new uniforms and this design would be perfect.

I would much rather see the old cartoon Oriole back on the front of the caps. In the black caps with the orange bill, like the ones they wore from 1966-1974. THAT was the best baseball hat ever, IMO.

Skillfully executed. But the bird looks like a duck, NO O's on the cap, Baltimore on the Away, I think if you tweaked the logo you made you have something. But right now it looks like a duck. If you fine tune the logo that would make a better logo than the O's. O's is a colloquialism, and should not be used as a logo. To me that would be like the Nationals using "nats" or the Yankees using "Bronx Bombers" on their uniforms.

I do like that you used black on the home script, and orange on the white.
