Shumway
41. The guy with his name personalized on the back of his jersey42. The guy wearing a jersey of a average player who used to play on the team(ex. An Eagles fan wearing a Takeo Spikes jersey)43. The people who wear the jersey t-shirts.I'm guilty of the last two...I completely agree on the first, though. I really like player tees. It's cheaper than buying a jersey of every player you like, and it's another t-shirt I can wear around the house. I don't wear jerseys often unless I'm actually going to a game. As for the mediocre player jersey, that's generally the route I go when jersey shopping. I like trying to find random jerseys that basically nobody else would have. Takeo Spikes is a bit of a stretch, since he was only there for, what, a year? Come to think of it, I just have random old jerseys, most of which are at least somewhat notable players....I do, however, have an authentic Kevin Jones Lions jersey. I thought they'd keep him. This annoys me to no end. Fans who don't cheer all game, but when someone else cheers or gets up from their seats they go to the usher and tries to get the person cheering kicked out of the stadiumI was at a WCHA Final Five game at the Xcel Energy Center, and the Gophers were playing like North Dakota or Colorado College or something like that, and the refs made a bull- call against the Gophers for which they called embellishment. The guy sitting in front of me started yelling "EMBELLISHMENT?!?!?!", and the lady in front of him got up told the usher, and they were escorted out of the staduim. That pissed me off. BJBerthiaume
Going off this bandwagon business, living in Minnesota and liking the Colts, everyone thinks I am a bandwagon fan. The truth is, I started liking the Colts prior to the Peyton Manning era when I was little because they were blue. It's kind of embarrasing, but it's true. I actually like the Colts far more than the Vikings, and the Vikings were always good when I started really liking football in the late '90s. ElwoodCuse
The Walmart jerseys are much more respectable than the outright counterfeit jerseys.I want to punch everyone I see wearing the fake Penguins blue jerseys. What better way to say "I didn't care about this team at all until they got good again and now I want a cheap way to prove what a fan I am". YOU don't know that Dick Tarnstrom once led the team in scoring. YOU weren't among the 11,000 people going to games. YOU were whining about the Steelers until TV told you about Sidney Crosby. infrared41
41. The guy with his name personalized on the back of his jerseyI disagree. An 80 dollar (or more) jersey is worthless the minute the guy moves to another team. In my closet right now are some really nice jerseys. Like my Ahman Green Packers jersey. Or my Kurt Warner Rams jersey. Or my Eddie George Titans jersey. (At least with George it's pretty much a throwback jersey now.) If it's my name on the back I am not stuck with a useless jersey that was good for a season. I wish we could just get nameless jerseys again. Until then, I guess if you ever run into me at a NY Rangers game you're going to be annoyed. My wonderful girlfriend bought me an authentic Rangers jersey with my number and name on the back. I wear it every time I go to a Rangers game. It's about 5 years old and still as relevant as they day I got it.EDIT: How perfect. I just noticed that rule number 41 is in fact the number I have on the jersey that would annoy you. Sorry about that. All roads lead to Dollar General.
