No love for McClutchen in Pittsburgh?

I know he hasn't been playing regularly the entire season, but one can argue he's made the biggest splash and created the most buzz out of the NL Rookies.

I think he has a real legit shot with an overall subpar NL rookie class

Since the Giants' Pedro Sandoval is out of the running (ineligible), I'm gonna go ahead and pull a homer by nominating Cubs pitcher Randy Wells for NL Rookie of the Year.

The guy's got an ERA of 2.73 and a WHIP of 1.14 in sixteen games this season. On top of that, Wells has eight wins since mid-June, which more than any other starter in the bigs. As of this very moment, I don't know if any NL rookie who can really match-up with those kind of numbers.

It's Pablo, like this.

Subpar? McCutchen, Rasmus, Wells, Hanson, Happ is one of the better classes I can remember.

Personally, I would love to see an all-LA world series. It'd be more interesting than the usual two cities that have nothing to do with each other. Although, I'm still holding out hope that the Marlins pull a miracle run again. After all, it's been 6 years since 2003 which was 6 years after 1997.

Meanwhile the FReds (which means F*#$ing Reds!) have lost 7 straight and 13 out of their last 14. They were 2 games under 500 at the break! I can't remember the Reds, as bad as they've been this decade go through a run like this.

Make that 8 straight for the FReds.

Colby Rasmus still has a legitimate shot at it as well.

Two pulled homers.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

True, but if you read carefully, only the Cubs homer was fan enough to acknowledge his own homerism. (Go Cubbies!)

Pittsburgh is becoming Arizonas little toy, last 3 times they have played the Diamondbacks are shutting them out. With Pittsburgh, and Washington the next 5 games, the Diamondbacks can get to six games back of .500

Everybody stop talking about AL Central teams this instant.

Oh you mean the first place Detroit Tigers, the second place Chicago White Sox, third place Minnesota Twins. You mean those AL Central teams?
