Gothamite
Washington Nationals - 2005 Established In 1905 Logos:Even that simple addition of the lower banner improves the logo. The primary logo doesn't work on its own, it really needs something extra.Leaving aside for the moment how unbelievably stupid and unsupportable the silly "Est 1905" claim is, no matter how beautiful it looks in script.... WSU151
Agreed. I know some hate the superfluous term on a logo, but if the Nats kept that bottom ribbon and put "Baseball Club", the overall logo would look better than what it does now. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
Gothamite
Interesting idea, but I'd rather they add the capitol dome at the top of the logo, like they did with the inaugural game tickets:I think it's beautiful. The dome (simplified a little) would be a huge improvement. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

Hoopskid
That expos 35th looks a lot like the Suns anniversary logo from a few years back. The font is the same for sure, but the elements are similar.
AsM29
Are you talking about their 40th anniversary logo?
Hoopskid
Nope, 35 or 30 I think
AsM29
I'm not sure I see what logo your talking about. The 30 logo doesn't use a typeface anywhere close.
Hoopskid
Yeah, it's the 35th anniversary, just checked.

Puckguy14
San Francisco Giants - 1999 "The 'Stick" Memorial Logo:Wow, I've never seen that one. The only two I saw were the "Going Away Party" and "Tell it Goodbye" with the stadium about the lettering. Cool that they did some kind of homage with the 'Stick. 2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions
Puckguy14
iamthedorf just posted this one in the Logo Correction thread...Oakland Athletics - 1992 25th Anniversary in Oakland Logo:Yuck. 2 shades of green, and what's with the brownish-orange color? The two shades of green were probably the two used in the time they've been in Oakland. And the brownish orange color I'm guessing its a shadow 3d effect. This logo also had a 3D effect to it on some publications, which likely make the yellow shadow more of a metallic gold. 2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions

FiddySicks
Cincinnati Reds - 2000 World Champion Anniversaries logo:Man, every one of the Reds logos I've seen so far really aren't well done. The Fairwell to Cinergy Field patch makes it look like the Reds themselves are disbanding after the year. The patch for the opening of GABP makes it look like they decided to come right back the next season in a Browns like move. This one is confusing and looks odd. Quillz
That Reds patch is confusing... 25th anniversary? 10th anniversary? 25 championships? 10 championships? Did they win in the year 2510?
