TrueYankee26
I have never seen this combo before, it has the Yankees interlocking NY in grey, with a white outline, in a blue jersey, or is it just the lighting in the picture? trueyankee26.wordpress.com
Bmac
Interesting. I have never seen that before. I think it's jsut the effects of the light, but I could be wrong. https://www.behance.net/bmatukewic8043
beansdooma
there's no way that's a lighting trick. definitely a new thing.

Bmac
What if it is two textures? One texture making the inside of the NY, and another texture for the outline. That could cause a lighting effect. https://www.behance.net/bmatukewic8043
BBTV
What if it is two textures? One texture making the inside of the NY, and another texture for the outline. That could cause a lighting effect.Shiny twill for the NY, and flat thread for the stitching. Very likely this is just lightning behaving differently against different fabrics. oddball
If you think that's a lighting effect then you need your glasses checked. Why? Because you notice the outline of white stays the same thickness around the whole interlocking NY logo. It's silver on white or silver outlined in white just as it is on the dugout jackets. I'm in the lighting trick camp but I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.
xTr1pleXx
I believe it's actually two shades of white - a lighter white, and an off-white. 1923 1927 1928 1932 1936 1937 1938 1939 1941 1943 1947 1949 1950 1951 1952 1953 1956 1958 1961 1962 1977 1978 1996 1998 1999 2000 2009
TurnTwo
I've seen this jersey up close in sporting goods stores before. The NY is mesh with a thicker fabric outline. Both the same color, just two different materials. "I must be butter, because I'm on a roll."Turn Two Design // Facebook

Both the same color, just two different materials. If this is the same jersey that I've seen in stores, then the fabric of the NY is kind of reflective, which would account for the slightly silver/gray appearance in the photo. In person, it always looks slightly gray to me, like the reflective strips on some biking shirts.
Gothamite
I've seen those as well - I'm pretty sure that this is just a trick of the lighting. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
