Lee.
I don't get how talented players can look so.. unorganized and confused and unlike themselves. They don't. However, they are looking just like the Leafs.Dear Boston, enjoy your #1 draft pick in 2010. Signed, the rest of North America. 6 games have passed, not all 82. But we're well on our way...Christ, the Leafs are so bad, the NBA gave them the first round pick in the lottery next year, too. njmeadowlanders
Rangers defeat the Kings 4-2 in my first of 10 games at Madison Square Garden this season. 6 in a row, tied w/ Pittsburgh for most points in the NHL, and they're scoring in bunches. Marian Gaborik is an absolute stud and so long as he can stay healthy the Rangers are capable of taking that next step it seems.
Brendan
Sami Salo is hurt. In other news, the sky is blue. I also do not understand Vancouver having nearly a full week off in a Olympic year that will see them kicked out of their home rink for some horrendous road trips. The NHL couldn't have fit in a game or two at GM place this week? It's ridiculous. Can the Canucks please have a decent schedule for once. The Canucks have had on game in the last 7 days. The_Admiral
Maybe the Thrashers don't think they'll be any good this season, and are banking on racking up the points next year with all-new "rollover games." ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
FiddySicks
Man, are the Leafs ever awful! I looked at their schedule and I doubt they'll get a win before November. Don't worry Leafs fans, plenty of room left on the Ottawa bandwagon. I'll jump on the Coyotes bandwagon before Ottawa's... we know they will be in Hamilton before the Leafs make it out of the draft-lottery eligibility. But in all seriousness, I really do believe that the team is not listening to Ron WIlson. I don't get how talented players can look so.. unorganized and confused and unlike themselves. I don't care what has to be done as long as SOMETHING is done.Ron Wilson hung out with Bruce Bochy while he was in San Jose and picked up his ability to take a ton of talent and do absolutely nothing with it. Makes no sense.
Don
Shew, Caps off the skid with a complete 4-1 victory over the Sharks. Great game all around, 2 goals from Ovechkin, Varly comes in and slams the door in the 2nd period after Theodores injury. Cant complain! Ovechkin plays better without Semin, its been proven if you put a skilled grinder with Ovechkin the results will come. ideally i'd like Backstrom in between Ovechkin and Knuble but I guess Bruce really likes the chemistry with Knuble and Morrison since theyve played together before (even though it was back in college) "I don't understand where you got this idea so deeply ingrained in your head (that this world) is something that you must impress, cause I couldn't care less"http://keepdcunited.org
roxfan00
Avs beat Montreal tonight 3-2. 11 points already this season, nice start to a season when everyone thought they would suck. Obviously still early though. "Mr. President, call in the National Guard! Send as many men as you can spare! Because we are killing the Patriots! NEW.ERA
I don't know why anyone would think the Avs would suck yes there young but when you have a lot of up and comers and put them with the likes of Hedjuk, Svatos, Stastny and a defensive core featuring Adam Foote, Scott Hannan, Ruslan Salei and J-M Liles they have to be given more credit. With that Roster they look better then the Wild and possibly the Oilers on paper. JETS|PACK|JAYS|NUFC|BAMA|BOMBERS|RAPS|ORANJE|

What with the closest team being 700km away. Vancouver has the worst travel schedule in the league most of the time and taking six days between games in an Olympic year with a compressed schedule is absurd. The only people the Canucks have to blame for their schedule is themselves. I'm serious. The Kings the past few years had horrible schedules where they were home heavy to start the season and then at the end of the year they'd go out on 5 and 6 game road trips out east. One thing Dean Lombardi said, was that they would make it a point to get that changed and they have this season. So the only people to blame are the Canucks management and GM. Darcy Tucker is a has-been, Marek Svatos' looked like he regressed a little the last few years, he seemed to go from budding star to mediocre for some reason. Foote is old, Hannan has been a bust since he signed the big money contract (Has been a minus player since going to Avs, -21 last year), and their goaltending has been a mess since Roy retired. Plus, no Sackic. Add that all together and the predictions of doom are understandable. They've had a good start, but whether or not it lasts is another thing all together. If Craig Anderson can prove he's got more potential than career backup, then they're in business.

If Craig Anderson can prove he's got more potential than career backup, then they're in business.youre correct on most parts, but the thing that has been underestimated with the Avs is their work ethic. The young guys like Duchene and O'Reilly are full of energy, O'Reilly got his 1st NHL goal last night, and Duchenes wont be far behind. I think Joe Sacco and Steve Konowalchuk demand that these guys play hard, and with the relative youth of the roster, its not a hard demand to fulfill. Last year Anderson outplayed Vokoun at some points of the season and showed that he is capable of being the starter. No surprise to me that he is playing so well so far with the Avs. I think they will cool off at some point, but right now they are a fun team to watch with a good blend of youth and experience.
