Blake's got some bitchin' shoes. If he was at a bowling alley, he'd fit right in.

I guess, after much deliberation, the Cavaliers decided not to retire Shawn Kemp's #4.

I still don't have a website, but I have a dribbble now! http://dribbble.com/andyharry

If I recall, Kemp dropped the "0" from his Seattle #40 after being traded to Cleveland because the zero was "weighing him down".

So it was the number "weighing him down," not the 300 pounds, seven children, or coke snorting. I figured it was the other way around, silly me.

What're the rules on number changes for current players on a team? I recall when Chauncey got traded, he picked up #7 for that first season w/ the Nuggets, but then he changed back to #1 before this year [while JR Smith changed to #5 for some reason]. I thought you had to give like 2 years notice or something if you wanted to change your number while on the same team [to prevent guys like Artest from switching numbers like every year]. That being said, I'd actually like to see Jason Kidd reclaim his original #5 now that Josh Howard's gone, but I'm wondering what the rules would say about that.

He dropped the 0 and picked up the doughnuts.

I think you can only change your number if you get traded or sign with another team. Then if you want to change it (like Kobe & Amare) you have until sometime around April or so the season before to notify the NBA and then you can't change it with that team for another five years or so.

Josh Howard

Josh Howard wore #5 today....what exactly is the rule??? The NBA seems to have lightened up on uniform rules...especially with shoe colours.

Best picture I can find.

That is so weird. On the Wizards' website they even list him with both #55 [under his photo] and #5 [on the roster list]. Did someone have #5 on the Wizards before J-Ho got traded? Seems weird then that he'd choose #55 first then otherwise.

These teams should just hold press conferences to introduce the actual expiring contract. Just hold up the piece of paper and let people take pictures of it.
