I hate to break the news to you, but you can't win a hockey game when you have 0 goals. I saw this coming, so really this isn't news to anyone, except those who have been in a cave the past 3-5 years. I knew that the Sharks would cut ties with Nabakov if they didn't win the Cup. The scary thing for San Jose, is there is nothing out there better than Nabakov. Sure Tim Thomas, but he's not better, he's probably on the same level when he's on, but when was he on last? Sure Marleau and Thornton haven'tbeen the super stars they should be, but the biggest reason San Jose falls apart in the playoffs every year is Nabokov. Deslauriers seems to be the future of goaltending in Edmonton, Turco would be a nice way to mentor the kid and get him mentally ready for that role.There's no way Price is going to last the full season in Montreal. I can't say I'm thrilled with 2 very young goaltenders but they both know what theyre doing and Neuvirth specifically has won 2 Calder Cups so he knows how to win in pressure situations. I just can't see overpaying for Nabokov or Turco at this point in their careers.
