STL FANATIC
Edit: Eh, after looking back Chapman did pat La Russa on the back. My bad.Assuming the point you were going for is that their exchange seemed cold, it caught my eye too. But I'm guessing we'd be reading too much into it. Chapman was surrounded by a lot of players La Russa knew personally or veterans who had been around long enough that they were at least very familiar with each other and mutually respected each other. Lots of hugs in that part of the line.Chapman, on the other hand, hasn't been around long and plays for one of La Russa's former rivals. It probably WAS a colder exchange, but not intentionally, just real legitimate unfamiliarity. Also, home field or not, I really do love the NL winning that thing. Probably the biggest reason that the MLB ASG is successful is that there's actual some real pride in winning it. BigMac12
Bryce, you need to work on your ball recongition before you next all-star game.
infrared41
If his reaction was intentional, (I'm guessing it was) that's a pretty heads up play for a 19 year old kid playing in the MLB ASG. If he lets on to soon that he's lost the ball, everyone is off to the races. I'm grudgingly starting to appreciate how good this kid is going to be. HedleyLamarr
Just KC's luck, that the biggest MLB game in town since the '85 World Series is all but over in the 5th inning. The American League All-Stars were just wanting the mostly-Royals crowd to feel like it's a normal home game.... I thought he just shook his hand quick and moved on. It did look a little cold to me too though.
NJTank
Per Tim McCarver, the Braves and Mets have realigned to the NL Central to make up for the loss of the Astros.Caught that too you did www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

That never would have occurred to me but if that's true, then yeah...that's some good baseball intelligence right there.
HedleyLamarr
When he first raised his glove (at the beginning of the .gif), that's when I thought that he couldn't see the ball.
Sport
The exact same thing happened with Harper at the game I was at in Cincinnati. It led to Joey Votto's walkoff grand slam.
pmoehrin
Reading the ball off the bat is the toughest thing for a young outfielder to learn how to do.Its probably why he's been better out in center then in either of the corner outfield, because its the easiest outfield position from which to read ball. And with the way Ankiel has been playing, doesn't take alot of justification to bench him and just go with Morse in left and Werth in right when he returns which shouldn't be that much longer. Wouldn't shock me to see Rick Ankiel being sent packing before the deadline in order to get another starting pitcher.
NEW.ERA
Jays extended Edwin Encarnacion for 3 years. He was probably their best trading piece to add more prospects if they decided to be sellers, but it looks like AA and the gang, are going all in. Time to use the well, to bring in a starting pitcher or two. JETS|PACK|JAYS|NUFC|BAMA|BOMBERS|RAPS|ORANJE|

Three years, $27M with a $10M club option at the end.Next year, the Blue Jays will pay Bautistia and Encarnacion a combined $23M. That's just $3M more than the Red Sox will be paying Crawford. Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature. PotD: 29/1/

zpqmaowl
The last time it rained was the last Cubs' home game, which moved it back 55 minutes. Well, I've been down at Wrigleyville since 10 and in the stadium since the gates opened at 11:20, and the estimated start time is 5:00. Looks like I'm breaking my record of time being in a stadium. the worst helmets design to me is the Jacksonville jaguars hamlets from 1995 to 2012 because you can't see the logo vary wall

STL FANATIC
Speaking of blackouts, MLB.tv is down across the board right now. It's acting as if every game has yet to start.MLB has yet to acknowledge the issue, at least on Twitter, which is pretty #^&*ing $@!!y.
