Logolympiad: Event #9

Wow, a 1960's reference there in the slogan! Otherwise, it's just another case of The Man keeping us down.

"I better go take a long walk off a short pier or something."

Some people on this bolard have told me to do just that.

My "Ron Mexico" alias is "Jon Tobago".

it's no avenger, but it'll do.

i did not incorporate any oil drop, texan symbolism, nor patriotism. i felt no need to do so.

Can I ask an English Language question?

That expression Owner Calling the Ball?

Where does it come from?

I would assume Ball is a party, Cinderella type of party?

Or are we talking baseball?

I was actually referring to Top Gun, where they use "calling the ball" as meaning, they are in charge.

"Calling the ball" refers to what Naval Aviators do when they are approaching the deck of the carrier to land. "The ball" in this case refers to the "meatball" that the aviators use to see the level of thier flight path in accordance with the deck.

This may be a stupid question... How do you guys post images directly into a reply on the boards?

Help!

1. Upload your image to a site like Photobucket.

2. When you reply, use the IMG button to link to your uploaded image.

I think there are more detailed instructions in the FAQ.

I assume we are still waiting for the "meatball" to be lifted?

Can't wait to start voting.

Although I didn't submit, I can't still give my opinion, right? (cos God knows I am opiniated...)
