FiddySicks
Thank god the NFL voted to get rid of the Tuck Rule. Now, if a QB is trying to bring the ball back into their body and they lose it or get stripped, it's a fumble. As it should have been all of this time. So, essentially the tuck rule was the NFL saying the Raiders. Cool. At least we know where they stand. Sport
Eliminating the tuck rule is a win for those of us who want to see the NFL simplify the rule book. Next target should be the Calvin Johnson rule. The running back crown rule is a move for player safety, which I am all for, but it's another judgement call for the officials to make, which never works out. I guess you have to have it though. dbadefense1990
I'd like to hear from Lions fans and Raiders fans since I don't feel like we do much around here. It was really refreshing for me to hear what Rams fans had to say about their franchise, and I think a "State of the ____" from around the league would be a nifty idea if some of you fans are willing to throw in a couple pennies.I'll oblige, and it'll probably involve some venting (but how can you not with this :censored:ing team?).<rest of post edited>I think one of the Lions' biggest misfortunes is that they play in what is probably the toughest division in the NFL and always end up looking much worse than they are, which I think feeds into a lot of the "team culture" problems people see in Detroit. If the Lions played in the NFC South they'd be contenders for the division title every year. The NFC East would like a word with you...

He completed the initial forward arm motion, then proceeded to begin a whole new backarm motion when Charles Woodson laid him out. Fumble all the way, but of course, any calls involving the Raiders usually go against the Raiders. Walt Coleman can go suck a fat one for all I care. STL FANATIC
Yeah, my issue with that most famous tuck rule play isn't necessarily the rule. It's the fact that there's a pretty straight-forward case that the rule didn't even apply. The tuck was over, Brady was cocked and ready to throw again.I'd like to hear from Lions fans and Raiders fans since I don't feel like we do much around here. These days, there's a pretty good case that the NFC West, after being the league's doormat for years, is now the league's best. But you can make that case for quite a few divisions. And I'd say the NFC North is no doubt one of them. JUSTIN STRIEBEL | PORTFOLIO | RESUME | CONTACT
Island_Style
There has been years where the NFC North/Central was really weak. Detroit sucked through the good years and the bad. What does it boil down to? Bad owners.
CS85
Brian Urlacher and the Bears break off contract talks. #54 is gone after over a decade of wearing the navy and orange. Not a very romantic ending to his tenure, but that is how the cookie crumbles. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board.
