MarkEightThree
Needs more beaver. I always thought the trillium has been underutilized as well.
MarkEightThree
I posted this to the team's Facebook page since I've heard more than a couple people asking to see a variation with Ottawa inside the crest:
-kj
That top one is very, very nice. It's a bit abstract, which is what I like about it. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! MarkEightThree
And here it is, unveiled during the Champions League final:I like it. Maybe they heard the criticisms of Ottawa not being tied into the logo and modified it because of that. I would have like it better if they had dropped Ottawa into the crest as opposed to tacking it on top though.
Luke_Groundrunner
Here is a bigger better copy of the logo that I just uploaded to the site.
Evil Doctor
Needs more beaver. I always thought the trillium has been underutilized as well.Apart from political parties and provincial government agencies, is it ever used? Also, everyone needs more beaver.... -kj
I, for one, do not need more beaver. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! spartacat_12
Needs more beaver. I always thought the trillium has been underutilized as well. While I do feel that the trillium is underused in logos, it makes more sense for a Toronto team. Toronto is the provincial capital and the Ottawa area kind of exists in a bubble that's not quite part of the rest of Ontario. Because it's the national capital it makes more sense to use the maple leaf. I've always thought that a loon would make a great design element for an Ottawa team (but not one called the Loons, the jokes would be too easy). nas1787
Kit options have been released.I quite like the first two, though I'm not sure about split shorts.More here. http://www.ottawafuryfc.com/index.php?friendlyURL=KitSelection
Gothamite
Love that one on the left. Even the shorts. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Jaffa
I'm liking the halved home and away option too, although I think the shorts look rather daft - they need a solid coloured pair. They'd surely need a third strip as well with this option, as there's a lot of red on both the home and away. Gothamite
I agree. That second option doesn't exactly help with clashes. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Jaffa
Going mainly white with the away would work for me, with a bit of red and black trim to tie everything in. Nice to see Admiral at work, though.
nas1787
If they paired the split kit with one of the other two away kits, they'd be golden.I also wonder if this means OSEG will be on the shirt, or if this is just a placeholder for the time being. Gothamite
If they paired the split kit with one of the other two away kits, they'd be golden.True, although I love how each of the change kits is designed to match its corresponding home kit. Soarindude
Middle stripe is defenitely the best. The Half & Half is solid too, but would probably look funny with half shorts too...
nas1787
I've seen lots of discussion about how soccer players hate wearing black. Ottawa gets really hot in the summer, might it have been better to go primarily red rather than black?
