A new take on an old look. Darker purple, and the gold matches the gold of the new logo. I've got a few different looks here, but I think the Purple/Grey would make a great home set, and White/Purple would be great for the away set.Any thoughts? We haven't seen or heard much about this redesign in a while, thought I'd share my take on the new look.
nuordr
Grey = BAD and not in a good way.
tsteffes11
First off: The AWAY blew my mind. It looks so old school, I swear they will look like Purple People Eaters out there. Second: The grey doesn't work with the white facemask. I say ditch the grey pants, and make the Home ALT 2 the HOME. These are fantastic. As a die hard Vikings fan, I love these, again, besides the grey. I would love if htey adopted these. Great work
raysox
I really like how that looks. The darker purple and grey go so well together, and I like the options for alternates @MichaelDanger19 | Dribbble
8BW14
I agree. Grey doesn't work here, but everything else looks great just ditch the grey pants and make the facemask either white or purple and its near perfect
VSG187
Gotta admit...I was really liking the grey. I figured if the Giants and Seahawks can pull it off (and who knows what the Jags / Dolphins will try to pull off this year), MN could pull it off. But...I see the difference between blue on grey vs. purple on grey. Either way...I think you'd get used to it.Purple/White with purple face mask is a great look too - http://vsg187.tumblr.com/image/46356906259
pluggerplugger1
I agree with what was said above. I love the second Home Alt as the primary home set. I also like all-white for the road uniform, too. As a Vikings fan, I just don't identify with purple pants on the road or grey at all
jakemon08
If you use a little bit different shad of grey, and add it elsewhere (facemask, somewhere in the jersey), it could work. The sets without grey are cool, though. As a Vikings fan, I could get used to them real quickly.
Lights Out
It's well-rendered, but there are two major flaws that hold this concept back.Firstly, grey is really superfluous and clashes with the color scheme. I think it'd look better without any grey at all.Secondly, the shoulder stripes are nearly the exact same as the Packers' sleeve stripes, just with purple instead of green. I doubt the Vikings basically wearing recolored Packers uniforms would go over well with either fanbase.(I also think the purple is too dark, but that might just be because of the template.) The face mask was intended to be grey, but I agree that it should probably appear elsewhere if it's going to be a new uniform color. The fact that it's not anywhere in the new logo is a decent indicator that we won't see grey pants. As for the Packers sleeves...I see the similarities, but these are intended to lay over the shoulders, as opposed to the Packers sleeve stripes that go horizontally and touch the end of the sleeve. I think it would be cool if the Vikings, Bears and Packers all had a sharp traditional look, would make for some good looking "black and blue" games. FUNKAFIED
I'm on the "it's great except for the gray" bandwagon. Otherwise I love it.

Jcn92
I really like these Vikings uniforms, more than the current ones. I don't mind the gray, however I do like the white and purple alts better.

I think the fact that the Vikings stripes would (will?) be on the shoulders and in different colors should be more than enough to distinguish them from the Packers. And yes, I'm aware, since my father's side of the family is from Schleswig-Holstein and one of my ancestors was a member of the Danish Royal House.Skål!
